Please note that the source cited in that article is supporting the 'format' column only. The only acceptable source for radio station call signs is the FCC's database - see [1] for the record for that station, and [2] to validate the call sign history for that station. Mlaffs, so I am trying to understand this. Are you saying that call signs are exempt from our sourcing requirements because they can be found in the FCC database? Normally I tend to ignore whether or not the call signs are cited, but it seemed to me that a change in call sign would need a citation. P.S. I live in Taos, and hadn't heard anything about this change, which is why I reverted and requested a citation. Yworo (talk) 15:35, 19 May 2012 (UTC)

No, no - nothing's really exempt from sourcing requirements, although unfortunately sourcing is observed more in the breach than anything. My real point, which I could probably have explained better, is that only the format column was sourced - the change that I had made was to the call sign, so asking me to provide a citation for that call sign specifically when none of the others were cited seemed a bit offside.

Regardless, we've come to a better place now. Whatever the source that was being used was, it certainly wasn't reliable. The Radio Locator site that Neutralhomer has cited as a source in updating that page is far better, as they use FCC source files to power their listings. Mlaffs (talk) 15:59, 19 May 2012 (UTC)

Sorry, you were the one that had "station has changed call signs" in your edit summaries. User:Robertmajor is the one who needed reverting. And this person's entire contribution history is the change by WSPO to WIOP.
