Need An Admin Opinion

Does this look like a legal threat to you? - NeutralhomerTalk • 22:37, 26 November 2011 (UTC)

Edit summary here as well. - NeutralhomerTalk • 22:38, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
No, I didn't think so, at least not as far as I understand the policy. They're offering to put us in touch with a lawyer to help verify information, or to provide information that's missing, rather than saying that they're going to sue if we don't remove something from the site. Mlaffs (talk) 22:45, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
OK, I just wanted to make sure. I did issue a "No Legal Threats" warning just so it doesn't go any further than that, since the word "lawyer" makes some admins jumpy. The original post came, of course, from Dravecky's userpage, so you might want to keep an extra close eye on that. The station is question is WMRO. - NeutralhomerTalk • 22:48, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
On a related note, I appreciate the extra eyes on my user page but if you're going to delete a comment meant for my talk page from the user page, please copy it to the talk page so I can read it. I totally missed this note since it was only visible for 5 minutes. - Dravecky (talk) 13:38, 2 December 2011 (UTC)

Classic hits radio stations in the United States

I started to clean up Category:Classic hits radio stations by moving the large number of American stations to the proper Category:Classic hits radio stations in the United States but after a few dozen of them I realized I was having so much fun that I had to share with you (and Neutralhomer and anybody else who'd care to take a whack at it) this opportunity to gnome. Enjoy! - Dravecky (talk) 13:43, 2 December 2011 (UTC)

LOL! Happy to help. I'm starting to go a little cross-eyed from the NPR gnoming that I've been doing lately; this'll be a welcome diversion. Mlaffs (talk) 13:53, 2 December 2011 (UTC)
Done! Mlaffs (talk) 05:44, 3 December 2011 (UTC)
Wow, I didn't expect you to finish 'em off so quickly. I guess that's why you're at 100K edits while I'm lagging behind with a mere 72K (or so) edits. - Dravecky (talk) 06:50, 3 December 2011 (UTC)
Pheh — whatever that tool is that lets you edit categories right from the bottom of the article, it means it's practically just a mouse click each time. Didn't take any time at all. Besides, I'm full-on gnome; you're actually creating new content on a regular basis. Mlaffs (talk) 06:54, 3 December 2011 (UTC)
Somebody has to write articles about 1970s sex symbols like Randi Oakes and oft-censored Speedy Gonzales cartoons like Mexicali Shmoes and Mexican Boarders, right? Well, "has to" is probably a bit strong... - Dravecky (talk) 06:59, 3 December 2011 (UTC)

KWAP

Thanks for catching the KMBQ to KWAP call sign change. It seems a lot has happened to that little Wasilla AM since I last touched that article. It's a story full of crazy twists, triumph, and tragedy so I've expanded the article, um, a bit. Okay, a lot, but it had to be done. Sadly, as a now-silent AM with financial and technical problems (not to mention those hostile neighbors), I don't think it can get back on the air by late January and save its license. Let's hope I'm wrong. - Dravecky (talk) 14:36, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

No sweat — I'm just picking through last month's FCC call sign actions report. As usual, some of them have been done, but others not; this happened to be one of the 'not'.
BTW, I've said it before, but I'll say again hats off, sir. You really do some fantastic work on this stuff. That article is more fleshed out and better referenced than the ones we have on some long-standing stations in major markets. If I ever turn into a content creator — beyond just using a tool to create properly-structured stubs to polyfill our coverage holes — you're the model I'd be shooting for.
P.S. I saw a couple of tiny typos and comma consistency situations, so I got collaborative. Mlaffs (talk) 22:02, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
As did I. Seen some links that went to the wrong pages (like KSWD-FM, an LA station) and fixed those and added the Anchorage market template (the Mat-Su Valley is part of the Anchorage radio market). Good work Dravecky on the update. :) - NeutralhomerTalk • 22:34, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
Ah, the dangers of writing when I should be sleeping. Thanks for the help! - Dravecky (talk) 23:00, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
No problem, glad to help. :) - NeutralhomerTalk • 01:09, 10 December 2011 (UTC)

AFT v5

I seen a couple of these AFT v5 categories being added to a few pages (including the WMEV disambig page you just removed one from) and I was wondering why there is a category for this feature. I thought the Article Feedback Tool was something that was on every page. - NeutralhomerTalk • 19:10, 14 December 2011 (UTC)

I don't know a lot about the AFT, but from what little I've had the chance to read, it appears that it's being rolled out to articles in stages. I don't know what the logic is for which articles get it when, but there you go. Mlaffs (talk) 20:55, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
Ah, gotcha. Okie Dokie, thanks. :) Got another post below too. :) - NeutralhomerTalk • 21:00, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
