Kabir panth is a sect. That doesn't change that she was born in a Brahmin family. You can source and add the Kabir panthi part separately using reliable sources. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 16:39, 1 February 2021 (UTC)

Sharda Kabir caste

She was from kabirpanthi family of Maharashtra who were teachers of mahars and not brahmin Mk921 (talk) 16:54, 1 February 2021 (UTC)

These sources [1] and [2] clearly state that she was Brahmin by caste. Kabir panth is a sect not a caste. There can be people from different communities in a sect. Arya Samaj is a sect, but it has a lot of people from diverse castes. Jats being one of the most common. As I said, you can append that 'Kabir panthi' part in the article with proper sources, but do not remove the sourced caste. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 17:00, 1 February 2021 (UTC)

It is written in official gazette of Maharashtra government that Kabir surname is found in mahar community and brhamns of maharastra had surname based on their villages Mk921 (talk) 11:57, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
