Speedy deletion nomination of Mjp

edit

A tag has been placed on Mjp requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- Shadowlynk (Talk) 02:36, 6 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Re: hay

Re your message: In order for the article about yourself to remain on Wikipedia, you need to establish why you are notable enough for inclusion per the guideline for inclusion for musical artists. For example, if you had a charted record or album, you would be notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia. Since you stated that your album is not yet released, you do not currently meet the notability guidelines unless you have had multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent from you. I recommend that you do not recreate the article in main space, but instead use your user space to work on the article at User:Mjp2515/MJP for example. However, I strong suggest that you review the both the notability guideline and the autobiography guideline before you proceed. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 04:47, 7 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of MR MJP

edit

A tag has been placed on MR MJP requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Intelligentsium 01:23, 20 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, as you did at MR MJP. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. Intelligentsium 01:24, 20 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I am not writing an article about myself. I am a fan, that is why my username is Mjp.-- Mjp2515 (talk) 01:26, 20 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Duly noted. Intelligentsium 01:40, 20 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

My "Vandalism"

edit

I apologize for incorrectly assuming that your article was an autobiography. It was an honest mistake, and I will remove the auto-notice. However, the issue at hand is A7 - your article does not assert your subject's notability. And please don't bring AN/I into this. The resolution will definitely be that there was a misunderstanding, and reaching it will waste some admin's time. Intelligentsium 01:39, 20 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Since you brought this to ANI, why don't you read some of the comments posted there? Jauerbackdude?/dude. 02:02, 20 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Mr MJP

edit

A tag has been placed on Mr MJP, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

I have moved your page to User:Mjp2515/MR MJP. Work on it there, and if you think it's good enough to move to a real Wikipedia page, ask me on my talk page and I'll have a look. Remember to look at this page which will help you see what we need for an article of this type. Black Kite 01:59, 20 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

OK, that's enough now. I have explained above what you need to do. If you recreate the page again I will block you. Thanks, Black Kite 02:03, 20 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I believe I have been blocked for long enough. This time, I will make a return editing with good faith and diligence. Please allow me another chance. I promise I will contribute to the best of my ability.

Decline reason:

As per WP:OFFER, you should be waiting for a minimum of 6 months before even contemplating unblock. Your repeated recreation of an article after multiple deletions was WP:DISRUPTive, and your most recent WP:SOCK block was at the very end of October. If you have not editing using another account since then, you will become eligible for requesting unblock at the end of April - your unblock request should address the original disruption. Of course, if you have edited Wikipedia either anonymously or using a userid since, then the clock resets itself ... (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 12:53, 11 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
