Concerning Image:RenegadeTonyaKay.jpg

edit

Greetings and welcome to Wikipedia. I notice you uploaded the image and you claim to be the owner of the image. Is there a way we can confirm by email that you are the owner? If so, I would suggest using Wikipedia:Contact us/Article problem/Copyright to contact us so we can prevent it from being deleted wrongly. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 20:33, 15 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, I have emailed you via the link above to confirm indeed the image is my ownership. Tonya Kay

I am super confused by the format of this conversation. It's not like a forum or as easy as just emailing. But I got a notice that someone tried to update this page and came over here to see, but don't see anything, so I'm just typing that I was here and checked and hope everything is well with you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.233.79.104 (talk) 00:34, 29 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks so much, Zscout. You rock and have helped me so much. I looked over the How To Edit a Page and still can not find how to edit the Title Box. Is there a better place for me to learn how to design this last edit? I would like the title box to read simply, "Tonya Kay is an actress, television personality, professional dancer and oddities artist." Could you help me with this? I'm pretty confused how to respond to you or why I don't get these messages in an email or some way to respond quickly (I don't work or volunteer for Wiki, so I only check it every 5 months or so), but the Renegade photo is mine. I paid for it's shoot and I possess all rights to put it everywhere. I hope this helps!

File permission problem with File:TraceAdkinsRodneyWinsTonyaKay.JPg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:TraceAdkinsRodneyWinsTonyaKay.JPg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. SchuminWeb (Talk) 12:08, 9 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hey, Cindamuse, it's me, Mistress of Darkness, whom is indeed Tonya Kay. I want to assure this page is Wiki compliant. I see that I can not currently edit anything due to a "Major Edit by the guild of copyright editors". So I won't change anything on the page, but only discuss with you how I can best help when that edit is through.

Thank you for pointing out neutrality. I think the page is a stating of career facts and not a listing of products or anything to buy, so overall, it's good! But there is a sentence right now that can I can delete that I think denotes a point of view currently, "her career blossomed from there". That, I see, denotes point of view and should be deleted. I'll do it after the warning of "Major Edit by the guild of copyright editors" goes away.

I see that Tone is sited on the Tonya Kay Wiki page as suspect. I've read the Tone guidelines and I believe that the current page is okay. It uses a formal tone, no jargon, no slang and is well written in good grammar.

I looked over the Clean Up list and maybe I am not seeing it, but this Tonya Kay page wasn't listed there with any suggestions, so I'm not sure how I can help clean up currently.

I would like to help rewrite the Lead Introduction, however I am not the creator of this page and can not edit that. What is MOST IMPORTANT to me as the real human being represented by this Wiki page is that my complete birth name NOT ever be given on this page (I have had dangerous stalkers and my last name is protected now) and that my birth year NOT appear anywhere on this page (which would sacrifice my career as a film/tv performer - I'm not Tom Cruise yet, you know?). Otherwise, I'd be happy to help the creator write an acceptable intro.

I read over the What Is Not Appropriate for An Encyclopedia section and confused about how this article does not comply, I pulled up Jane Lynch's page and see that the our articles are similar, basically just stating credits with backlinks to other Wiki pages. Perhaps you require more Citations? Though I see that Wiki does not consider IMDB a reliable source of Citation (which is weird, because IMDB is as official as it gets - credits are ONLY published by production companies or with production company verifiction). Please let me know what info Wiki considers not appropriate for an Encyclopedia and I will help change it. I can not locate any of that info according to the clues section currently. Looks like a list of work, like Jane Lynch for example, to me. Again, I'm all in for helping edit.

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Mistressofdarkness. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Tonya Kay, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Please do not edit articles about yourself except to remove blatant vandalism or defamatory content Sro23 (talk) 03:33, 15 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
