Orphaned non-free image File:Hanoverhouselogo.gif edit

Thanks for uploading File:Hanoverhouselogo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 16:53, 1 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:Hanoverhouselogo.gif edit

Thank you for uploading File:Hanoverhouselogo.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:53, 1 May 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. Requests for help edit

May I ask what you are doing with [1][2][3] and a ton more? Per Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Move_fixing, everything you did was just reverted. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 10:56, 2 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

I wanted help editing the theatrical film production companies list.

I don't understand can you please tell me what was reverted?

All the moving was undone as was this text. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 02:23, 3 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

I was trying to match up this page first http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_game_companies with something like this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_theatrical_film_companies, which would link up to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_theatrical_film_Distributors (which I finished and was 99% complete and you or Tim Deleted) and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_theatrical_film_production_companies which I started and was deleted and I called for help from other editors. Can you or Tim Please undelete these items and set them up for me to match the format?

Please STOP trying to "recreate" the talk pages of the various deleted articles asking them to be undeleted. Your excessive moving of List of film production companies was completely inappropriate, as I noted in my response to you on your talk page and as was noted in the Administrators Noticeboard discussion linked to above. The page was restored back to its original locations, and all of the names it was moved to removed as they are not appropriate redirects and are not appropriate article titles. Nor do you ask for undeletion by recreating their talk pages. You've already left a note with the deleting admin, now wait for a response instead of continuing as your actions could be interpreted as disruptive (particular on top of the repeated page moves). As an aside, asking for help is fine, but you posted the same message to the talk pages of over a dozen editors. Most editors would find that a bit aggravating. There are other, better venues if you just need general help, versus asking so many one by one, such as posting a help note on your own talk page, using the help template, or posting a note at the article talk page, a related project talk page, or checking out the Help:Contents. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 06:16, 3 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
Multiple editors have no told you that you are being disruptive and acting in an inappropriate fashion. Please STOP doing your actions and discuss. You cannot just "move" an article by recreating it elsewhere. You cannot decide to move an article from one title to another just on the basis of your own opinion. If you think List of film production companies‎ should be renamed and refocused, you need to discussion it on its talk page and get WP:CONSENSUS first. This is NOT your personal article and you are not the only person who has worked with that article. Quite frankly, your continued actions despite the warnings and attempts at discussion with you by myself and others has me ready to right you off as disruptive and request you be blocked, but I am still hopeful that you just do not understand Wikipedia guidelines and mean well despite your disruptive actions. Please show this to be correct by ceasing your attempts to restore the various titles and actually engage in discussion now. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 06:32, 3 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of List of theatrical film distributors edit

A tag has been placed on List of theatrical film distributors, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- Shadowlynk (Talk) 06:04, 3 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your contributed article, List of theatrical film distributors edit

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, List of theatrical film distributors. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - List of film production companies‎. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at List of film production companies‎ - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 06:28, 3 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process.
