Medical references

edit

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Remember that when adding content about health, please only use high-quality reliable sources as references. We typically use review articles, major textbooks and position statements of national or international organizations. (There are several kinds of sources that discuss health: here is how the community classifies them and uses them.) WP:MEDHOW walks you through editing step by step. A list of resources to help edit health content can be found here.

We also provide style advice about the structure and content of medicine-related encyclopedia articles. The welcome page is another good place to learn about editing the encyclopedia. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a note, or post to the talk page of the Wikipedia WikiProject Medicine -- LuK3 (Talk) 16:51, 2 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

January 2021: Your contributions to Parkinson's disease

edit

Hello, Miriam Miñana; thank you for your interest in PD. I see (above) that LuK3 has already pointed you towards Wikipedia's guidelines for sourcing medical content, so in addition to reinforcing the importance of that information, I want to bring some other things to your attention.

It is important that you understand Wikipedia's sourcing guidelines for medical content, but even more important that you read WP:EDITWAR and WP:3RR. Once your edit has been removed, it is expected that you will discuss at Talk:Parkinson's disease and gain consensus before re-adding the material. Continuing to add it could result in your being blocked from editing Wikipedia. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:36, 2 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Similarly, you are adding the same source to other articles;[1] [2] it is important that you also read WP:REFSPAM and consider whether you have a conflict of interest in this area. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:53, 2 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
