The rules

edit

Before you continue to participate in Wikipedia, I strongly advise you to learn how Wikipedia works and commit yourself to following the policies and guidelines you agreed to follow when you registered. Threatening me with blocking for deleting your repeated copyright violations and calling that deletion "vandalism" is not going to be a successful strategy. See WP:Deletion and WP:Harassment for some pertinent information. —Largo Plazo (talk) 14:07, 16 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Whatever that means. (Before you cite WP:The rules, you should probably make sure first that it says something like, "Removing copyright violations is prohibited." Does it? I suspect not.) —Largo Plazo (talk) 14:43, 16 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. Thank you. ttonyb1 (talk) 17:05, 23 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Douglas Kass

edit

A tag has been placed on Douglas Kass requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. —Largo Plazo (talk) 23:58, 19 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Just for your information, changing the order of the paragraphs from text you have copied isn't sufficient to remove the copyright violation. —Largo Plazo (talk) 00:09, 20 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

March 2009

edit

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you create an inappropriate page, such as Douglas Kass, you will be blocked from editing. A month after our last contact, I see that a while afterwards you once again created an article that is a complete copyright violation. I have tagged it for speedy deletion. That was three weeks ago so I am not flagging you for a block now, but since you were already up to a level 4 warning at that time I'm making this a level 4 warning now. —Largo Plazo (talk) 00:02, 20 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
