Message on your Swedish discussion page

Hi! I replied on your Swedish discussion page to your message to me almost a month ago. Please, if you want me to help you, you have to reply and tell me what to do, otherwise I cannot really do anything for you. Anyway, I wrote because I did not understand what you meant with using English. I translated the texts you named into Swedish as you requested. Did I do something wrong?

By the way, as you seem to create accounts in a lot of languages, you should really think about creating interlanguage links to link them together, like I did on my user page. --τις (talk) 13:02, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Meta question

No, I don't think so. We are watching the external link additions on 722 wikipedia, and saw that you added a handful of new links to a handful of wikipedias. As the links have not been used by anyone else, that triggers our system. For IPs that generally means that it is spam, but here this was done by an established editor. That normally means that we can ignore, but Herythyme found that one of the sites was under development, and showed concerns. I still think all is fine, but your input to clarify this would be great. See m:Talk:Spam_blacklist#Multiple_sites_by_Mikhailov_Kusserow, I am sure that this is a mistake, and a short explanation of these links will clear the matter. Thanks already! --Dirk Beetstra T C 17:18, 25 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi - the best thing would be if you would go to the link that Dirk has provided above & comment there. You have been placing links to eight sites across a number of wikis which does look like excessive link placement to the community there. An explanation of why you see that as relevant will allow us to review the matter. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 11:03, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Article to be deleted?

Can you please explain to me what is id.wiki and what is going to be deleted? Summer Song (talk) 15:01, 5 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I don't even speak the language, and I don't have an account there. Everyking (talk) 09:27, 6 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Jehovah%27s_Witnesses_Publications
...you mean this article and in the language "id" am I right? What language is that and how to I find it. you should put the link here;
But you are right it doesn't make sense that they should leave it in English and delete it in another language. It is really lame how many people here abuse the privilage of deleting instead of taking the time to improve as it says in the 5 pillars. They are no better than vandals in my book. if it has not been deleted you should mention the that the complete article exists in the English Wikipedia.
And you should have put a link like the one above to the article as they are definately not going to have the same title GabrielVelasquez (talk) 22:22, 8 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I am unsure of what you want me to do. Could you please elaborate? I don't have an account over there, but I would like to help you. (Jazzmaniac (talk) 14:21, 10 June 2008 (UTC))Reply

Once again, he should be putting a link here for the article if he thinks it is being attacked unfairly. If it is the same as the English then it is being attacked unfairly. There are plenty of articles that are lists of other things, it is pretty common, for example star catalogues. - - - GabrielVelasquez (talk) 22:42, 14 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Canvassing

Hi! I just got your message about this article, but I think you should know that on the English Wikipedia what you're doing is considered disruptive canvassing and is discouraged. From the guideline page:

To avoid disrupting the consensus building process on Wikipedia, editors should keep the number of notifications small, keep the message text neutral, not preselect recipients according to their established opinions.

--Explodicle (talk) 12:58, 6 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I have to second the above motion not to beat a dead horse but only to further strengthen the truth of what Explodicle said because you did send that message to quite a few people. It's not a good idea to do that.
Peace! SWik78 (talkcontribs) 13:38, 6 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

He is right though, you deletionists are no better than a bunch of vandals ignoring the 5 pillars principle that you should improve where you can; if the full article exists in the english version so why delete it because the editors in the other language are ignorant.
GabrielVelasquez (talk) 22:25, 8 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

He may have a good point, but no one should disrupt Wikipedia to illustrate a point. You'll find that in Wikipedia:Five pillars, where there is no mention of "improve where you can". --Explodicle (talk) 16:37, 9 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Phony, Consenus making my pAss, only the half dozen people who care secretly deciding the fate of someone elses hard work is a phony fraud, you have some nerve defending that facist policy. GabrielVelasquez (talk) 22:55, 14 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

why you ask if I am a J.Witness. I thought editing should be neutral so my faith, whatever that may be should be immaterial?...

Sorry- it seems I am too late- I like you am 'busy in real life'. At least some times.

Anyway- your name definitely has a noble ring to it. Sorry again that I wasn't able to assist in time- I haven't actually logged in for about 9 months at least, I guess (although I have made the occasional edit in that time) and thus I didn't see your message until today. Ordinarily I would be delighted to work against the restriction of 'free speech' in a 'closed environment'.

Has anyone suggested

That using that large welcome template for some users who might not have a very good way with too much information? I would suggest smaller welcome templates - as some will not be able to cope with that much of information first off. SatuSuro 09:14, 24 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

If you have english please use it - I find dealing with the Wikipedia Indonesia project stressful enough without having to think in it as well SatuSuro 08:38, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Maybe - some find it a bit overwhelming to have that particular bit of over information staring them in the face - if some like it - good - but some never ever read it - as can be seen by their following behaviour :( SatuSuro 09:14, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Help with disambiguation?

Hi Mikhailov,

I have a bio to post for a talent manager/celebrity named David Weintraub, but there is already a page for someone with that name. How do I proceed getting my page up as well? Do I need to create a disambiguation page? Someone named BoL offered to help me if I could prove that David was notable, but I never heard back from him after I sent him links to features. Would you be able to help me?

Thank you,

Jehovahs Witnesses

I have been editing this site recently and most of my information has been deleted. It seems that my references has to be from a verifiable third party which I will keep in mind in the future.

However, I don't see the relevance of indicating separate, splinter groups on the JW page. They have the ability to have their own site, they should not even be mentioned on the JW page.

In addition, the page mentions that JW's are an offspring of the Millerite/Seventh Day Adventist movement. Although some may characterize this as such, the truth is JW's sprang from no Protestant religion.

Can you explain why this information still appears? --JCL3CLL (talk) 14:00, 27 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

who made you god?

hey just cause you cant verify it doesn't mean it isn't true. REMEMBER seeing is not believing. Believing is seeing. O.K.

What are talking about? I agree that just because you can't verify something doesn't mean it is true. However, the purpose of Wikipedia is verifiable information, not opinion etc. Unless you have facts that support your statement from a verifiable source, then it should not be entered.--JCL3CLL (talk) 15:37, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yes I am. I'm new to Wikipedia so I didn't know how to respond at the time. I am disappointed in Wikipedia and may not wish to contribute any longer because of the biased stance of many of the contributors. I realize Witnesses are not popular with the "mainstream" but some of the comments that are placed on the page are out of line.

Just because someone writes an accusation in a newspaper article or in a book, its called "a verifiable source"? It looks to me that Wikipedia is a blog where people give their viewpoints and opinions rather than a place for encyclopedic content. As author Tom Wolfe wrote regarding blogs and Wikipedia, "the universe of blogs is a universe of rumors," and "only a primitive would believe a word of it," --JCL3CLL (talk) 13:45, 14 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
