Sorry ...

edit

Thanks for all your work on ref errors and on broken templates. Sorry for adding to your workload by temporarily breaking {{Irish TD table begin}}, and thanks for your unsually helpful edit summary[1] when you reverted me.

It was one of those annoying cases where despite extensive testing, it didn't didn't work as planned when I deployd it from the sandbox to the live template, so I had to flurry around testing a series of patches until it all stabilised.

If you are interested, it was all to enable me to make a solution to the succession box issue discussed at WT:WikiProject Ireland#TD_and_MEP_articles_and_the_'s-par'_template. I seem to have succeeded more neatly than I had hoped: see WT:WikiProject_Ireland#A_neat_solution_for_TD_navboxes BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 00:31, 11 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Glad you got it sorted! -- Mikeblas (talk) 03:43, 13 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

CS1 error on East Midlands Airport

edit

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page East Midlands Airport, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 21:42, 14 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Edmund A. Chester

edit

Hello Mikeblas, I hope you're well,

When you have a spare 5 minutes could you kindly recheck Edmund A. Chester and let me know if there are any errors please?

I've fixed reference duplication[2] as well as replaced cites with citenames[3] but just wanted to double check everything is fine as your previous pings begun to annoy me and I didn't want pings again hence my message :-),

Many thanks, Warm Regards, –Davey2010Talk 18:21, 17 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

I don't see any errors in the current version. Looks great! -- Mikeblas (talk) 21:24, 17 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

July 2023

edit

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at Peru at the 2023 Pan American Games, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 15:43, 26 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Instead of removing content, you can hide it for now. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 19:00, 26 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
A valid reason was provided: the sections are empty placeholders with no content. Some parts are also unreferenced. Please refer the section at Talk:Peru at the 2023 Pan American Games. -- Mikeblas (talk) 14:48, 28 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Your recent editing history at Peru at the 2023 Pan American Games shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
