License tagging for Image:LaserrifleNod.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:LaserrifleNod.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:06, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

Uploaded pictures on the Character of the Brotherhood of Nod page edit

Thanks for the pictures, pal. But the former pic of Slavik definitely was the better one. Mind re-adding that one alongside the new ones of Hassan, Oxanna and Vega? 81.240.50.217 18:41, 7 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, and a Fair Warning edit

Thank you for recreating the Temple of Nod page after the version I created was deleted. Its nice to know that other fans of the C&C series take an active interest in the game and strive to improve our coverage of the related material. On that note, I do wish to warn you that pages dedicated to the Nod strucutures were considered cruft when spotted by elements of our AFD division here, and subsequently a massive number of pages relating to the structures and units from GDI and Nod were deleted. According to the deletion policy, recreation of those pages is grounds for an imediate delete with no questions asked and no explination required. In this sense you could say that editting the C&C pages to expand on units or sturctures is like wading through an open minefield, you never know when you're going to step on a mine. Just hought you might like to know. TomStar81 (Talk) 04:38, 10 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the input. I decided to make a detailed Temple of Nod article due to it's importance within the game, it being an unique building in that very few games (if any) feature such an instllation. If anyone tries to delete it, then can I please ask for a notification? I'll merge it with the Brotherhood of Nod article, making it a big fat bloated one. Cheers! :) Mikael GRizzly 14:27, 10 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Per the AFD page you will likely be notified of the impending deletion, as this is considered good faith; note, however, that if this article is "speedy deleted" there will be no notification of the deletion, the page link will simply be made to redirect or may be left as a red link. More information on the entire process can be found here, if you are interested/concerned about it. TomStar81 (Talk) 23:42, 10 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

The Brotherhood of Nod edit

Thanks for reverting, I'm finding his massive changes of images in articles disruptive, and also a large number of them have been labelled as his creation - but they are copied from websites. --ArmadilloFromHell 18:50, 22 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

No problem, my friend. I'm a dedicated C&C fan and a Nod sympathizer (yes, I know it's fictional ;), so I prefer to keep articles clean. Cheerio, Mikael GRizzly 19:40, 22 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Dodgy edits edit

Sorry, didn't notice I'd rolled back too far. I wouldn't worry too much unless it happens again (though changing your password maybe prudent). I saw your contrib history and assumed either it was a mistake of some sort or something like a child getting to the computer and playing. --pgk 18:43, 23 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

No problem, thanks for being a good admin. I changed the password nearly instantly, to prevent further malice. Thanks :) Mikael GRizzly 19:43, 23 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Self-memo edit

Note to self: Rework the Renegade characters section.

"The following characters require money to acquire in multiplayer games. All of them appear in thesingleplayer campaign.

Global Defence Initiative characters:

  • Officer (150): The GDI officer is better trained than regular soldiers and usually leads squads of them into battle. He has the authority to call in aerial reinforcements and coordinates battle maneuvers. In multiplayer, he is the cheapest elite character available to GDI and comes with a Condor chaingun effective against infantry and moderately threatening to light vehicles.
  • Rocket Soldier Officer (225): The CO's of Rocket Infantry units, these men are trained to command soldiers and destroy enemy armour and installations. As with the regular Officers, they have the authority to call in aerial reinforcements. In multiplayer, he is the cheap alternative to the Gunner character, firing rockets slower and dealing less damage to enemy armour.
  • Sydney Mobius (150): Sydney Mobius is the daughter of dr. Mobius, an expert on Tiberium. Like her father, she is also fascinated with Tiberium, perceiving it as a weapon. Likewise, she wields a Tiberium Auto-Rifle in multiplayer games, making her a threat to enemy infantry and moderate danger to light armour.

Cnc Pages edit

Hey. I'd just like to say great job on editing the volkov article. Maybe we could collaborate on some of the Cnc articles. Contact me.

The GDI tech page does look bad. I'll work on it when I get the chance. By the way, I added a cyborg photo to the Nod Tech page. Slavik262 22:00, 19 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Good, well thought out addition. It really adds much to the article. Have you tagged the image as a "Computer or videogame screenshot"? If yes, then good :) Mikael GRizzly 22:34, 19 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Mass Deletion edit

What is going on? Cnc articles are being killed left and right! The A path beyond article is dead and volkov is subject to deletion?  ??? Slavik262 16:44, 23 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Guess tha AfD division is moving in for the kill. Mikael GRizzly 16:47, 23 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
What did cnc do to them? Slavik262 17:02, 23 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Nothing. Apparently they're people with no life for whom Wikipedia is the only substitute for social life and an imitation of great power they're unable to wield in real life. Mikael GRizzly 17:04, 23 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Regarding the Brotherhood of Nod's status as an Abrahamic society edit

The notion that the Brotherhood of Nod is Abrahamic in nature as a society is factually correct, as the provided link to the epoynymous article should be able to explain to you in due detail. This argument has been brought up before as well, and was discussed at length on the 3rd archived page, 25th topic of the Tiberium Wars article's discussion pages.

Please refrain from making edits which are likely to either be controversial or to be disputed by other editors without also attaching a rationale to such edits, however small or brief, as they otherwise end up likely to simply be reverted. If you remain convinced the Abrahamic part is an incorrect addition to the article's content, publically discuss on the discussion pages why you believe this, and we shall attempt to reach a common ground there in order to resolve this issue permanently. Image tagging for Image:GeneralJackGranger.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:GeneralJackGranger.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Lost episode title template edit

For your edit here, you switched the template titles back to the longer ones. How come? This template is here to help make it easier to write episode titles, so please use it as much as you can. -- SilvaStorm

C&C3 edit

Since you seem to have the demo working...how well does it run and what graphics card do you have? My GeForce 4 MX420 is...less than up to the task. I am wondering how cheap, as in old, of a card I can get that runs smoothly with the graphics settings on high. Voice-of-All 21:21, 7 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Mammoth tank edit

This image is brilliant, please, tell me, where did you get it? Since 1995 I've been looking for a sufficiently high resolution image of the original mammoth tank! The nature of Tiberium edit

Just as aside, keep in mind that Tiberium's status as a full chemical element didn't come to pass until sometime in between Firestorm and Tiberium Wars, when the stuff transformed itself. During the more early years portrayed in Tiberian Dawn and Tiberian Sun, it had a distinctive "organic" quality to it, as Mike Verdu put it in one of his blogs. Hence the tendency that some people seem to have in describing it as a plant of some sort.

For the record though, I nonetheless agree with you that it shouldn't be called as such, even in the Tiberian Dawn article. 84.192.113.201 13:37, 27 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:Nomad-c.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Nomad-c.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page.
