Hi Mig11. I noticed your responses in Kosova talk page. I invite you to contribute to the content as well, not just the talk page. Usually the vandals of Kosova wiki dont negotiate at all but just change the content. Your changes would be reasonable at least. Regards, Ilir pz 11:08, 10 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi Ilir! I will try, but actually I don’t have much time on these days. But yes, I had to do also some talking in the talk page, because it’s unbelievable how yet people try to share their Serbian ultranationalist ideas here. I made some changes in Peć District article. Maybe you noticed it too; there are two different articles about Peja district: Peć District and Peja District! bye --Mig11 11:20, 10 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
yes I noticed those changes. I don't have much time these days, but I will do my best to find time to pay attention to these sites. There are plenty of vandals who are restlessly reverting our changes which are backed by sources, and reflect the true situation on the ground. But hope they will call their reason soon. thanks, Ilir pz 21:53, 10 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Minor edits?

edit

In your last edits, you have marked the changes as a minor edit. This is not right. A minor edit generally implies trivial changes only, such as typo corrections, formatting and presentational changes and rearranging of text without changing any content. Therefore, any change that affects the meaning of an article is not minor, even if it involves one word. The distinction between major and minor edits is significant because you may decide to ignore minor edits when viewing recent changes; logged-in users can even set their preferences to not display them. No one wants to be fooled into ignoring a significant change to an article simply because it was marked "minor." So remember to consider the opinions of other editors when choosing this option. Mig11, I have put a hell lot of effort on this stub page. Why do you try to second guess every word? If you take the time to visit the refernces and links provided you should understand that I have invented nothing. Every single paragraph in the text is verifiable and referenced. I have even spent a considerable amount of money on buying Diana Gellçi's book from abroad, which I intent to quote from. Now, please tell me, why such hate? Should you not feel glad that a foreigner is showing interest on Albania's customs? Regards, --Asterion 19:57, 18 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Dzoni and the article

edit

You are wrong. The Index theatre is in fact a very famous band from the very 80s. You can check the Balkan repository page [2] for the link about the song. Also, user Zocky, a Slovene, is someone you might understand to have an independent opinion - and he confirms the notability of the song. The issue is not about Dzoni, but about the song and article. BabaRera 12:50, 8 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

He has been asking people, but that does not mean that they have not heard about the song - they were not aware of the voting. I am sorry that he has insulted you, he has his own issues (his house was burned in Croatia I think, and he is bitter because of things like that). But the song is well known on its own. I dont think that the procedure has been followed, and that is my concern. BabaRera 13:08, 8 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

It does nothing to do with the article, article has its own merits and that is why people were voting about it. However, the fact that Dzoni is bitter and insulted some people probably has to do with things that happened to him (I dont know him, but just have read his post about it in his edit history), not that he has anything personal against them - of course that does not excuse such behavour. BabaRera 13:27, 8 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

I am an anonimous editor, my behaviour is perfectly legitimate. Many editors have contributed anonimously in the beginning. I beleive what matters is what people say, and not who they are; I was not violating any procedure. Also, Dzoni did not invite me, for instance - I saw this thing by chance. Nor did I vote. Dzoni invited editors who he had every reason to believe they would support the article existance - because the article has a legitimate reason to exist for all that know about the song. So I dont see a problem there - in fact, he did not call many people, who might have given better arguments. BabaRera 13:52, 8 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
Your explanations are very weak. From now on I have to ignore you, sorry about that. Regards --Mig11 14:00, 8 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
Why would you ignore anyone. It is not a behaviour that is considered civil here. Besides, there is not much need to talk anymore. Being anonimous is legitimate option, weather you like it or not. BabaRera 14:05, 8 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi, thanks for your message about the user's behavior. Since I do not know Serbian it is very difficult to me to check if a message is offensive or not and whether it is offensive enough to warrant a block. The only thing that I found is the discussion on http://p083.ezboard.com/fbalkansfrm34.showMessageRange?topicID=36.topic&start=41&stop=59 that claims that that the word is not derrogative per se, although can be used as a derrogative in some contexts. I will warn the user to stick to English on the English wiki. If you know a sysdmin who is more proficient in Balcan languages please refer the matter to him/her or if you have a reputable source showing that the word is offensive, I will block Dzonis abakharev 23:43, 8 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

WHAT?!? I can think for myself and I don’t need anyone to tell where or how I should comment. Maybe the problem is that they did and are doing such things for themselves, and are getting now paranoid or something like that! Well I guess our little talk in our language irritated them. It is absolutely obvious that the person, who accused you, can’t speak Albanian, because then he/she would see that my comments on you, have absolutely nothing to do with the issue there! Best regards --Mig11 00:58, 5 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

hehe, I know, I know. Just talking in our language irritates some, but I do not care about it at all. But at least we could be a team in something. Writing a short review for the books you read from Ismail Kadare, would be nice. I will for example soon write something on the last book I read from him. There are too many red links on his books. Some books are reviewed, and someone wrote a little on them. What do you think? Heading to bed now...and will do some (meaningful) work tomorrow :). G'night. ilir_pz 01:09, 5 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Kosovo

edit

Dear Mig, regarding the discussions we had over the past few weeks and in view of the compromises that we tried to make, I would like to ask you one final time if perhaps you can agree with the current article version of the introduction of Kosovo. There certainly are things you would like to see changed, but you have to ask yourself if they are worth starting another revert war over. Alternatively, a vote or other solution might lead to an introduction that is even further away from what you would like it to be. Looking back at the discussions and compromises I must say that the current version is very close to a good compromise. This article is currently one of the articles on Wikipedia that has been protected for the longest time (Wikipedia:List of protected pages) and even was mentioned on some websites as an example related to the recent NY Times article[3]. Also, people have been wanting to add other information to this articles a number of times (See the talk archive). So, look at the article with a cool head, think of all the discussions and arguments you've heard and if you think we could lift the block without a revert war starting again, please let me know.

P.S. This message was posted at the pages of all people involved that are still active on Wikipedia. Cpt. Morgan (Reinoutr) 15:41, 20 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi Reinoutr! I noticed you message today, since I am really busy these days. Sorry for my a little bit late answer.
Well the proposed intro is not really a compromise. I don’t agree completely with it. It seems to me, that users Osli73 and Asterion are just ignoring most of the critics and suggestions, made by users, who don’t completely agree with them. Since this is not the first time this happened, I guess they will “win” with their proposal. But I hope they will also be that kind and write the real status of Kosova, when (as I hope soon) this will be finally solved. I understand you, and I know this topic is very complicated, and I also don’t want another revert war. So I will behave as always neutral, and simply wait until the status will be solved. That means from my side there will be no reverting (I did not ever revert anything in that article). Best regards, --Mig11 11:31, 21 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your kind answer, Mig. I know you were not part of the revert war, but I copy/pasted this text from a few other talk pages here, because you had been involved in the discussion lately. BTW, a neutral administrator very recently has proposed another version of the introduction, perhaps you can take a look at it: Talk:Kosovo/Intro changes proposal#A_more_comprehensive_proposal? Regards, Cpt. Morgan (Reinoutr)

Busy

edit

Hi Mig11, will write in English for the sake of clarity, as some get suspicious when we speak in our lovely language. I've been terribly busy these days, and I gave you my reasons. But the important thing is, now I am all over with it. Now I am again busy with finding a job, and seems like it is more difficult to choose among jobs than find one. In the meantime, I am planning a trip to Spain for a couple of days, and that is also a tough decision to make, where to go, and stuff. I noticed you gave some good comments in the Kosovo talk page, and all those proposals being spread there. Indeed, it is tiring. I see no way to stop all those (who claim to not be Serbs, and neutral, and Swedes or Spanish :)) to revert the version I proposed. And the proposal I gave also included a compromise, but yeah, you know whom we had to deal with as a nation, so no wonder they do not compromise even here. Who knows when I might be back, as I have plenty of other stuff to do as well, but until then...take care, edhe shkruaj kur te kesh kohe. Good luck with your exams. Regards, ilir_pz 11:52, 25 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi Ilir! I didn’t answer to you yet, since I am also really busy: the exams, the job, to many great music concerts :)
It is nice to hear that everything went ok, and I wish you luck by all the things you are doing now.
Well the problem with our language is that the Serbian government was not really that intelligent and didn’t forced also the Serbian people to learn Albanian, in the time as Albanians were forced to learn Serbian. So if we write just a word on it, they will get totally panic, even if this word means just hallo! I find that meanwhile very funny :)
On the other side, everybody is a little afraid from the thing they are not familiar to.
I know what you mean, when you say those things that have to do with the debate for the Kosova article.
I came to the conclusion, that many of those users just realized that in the reality they can not do nothing against the fact that in Kosova the Serbian government has no say anymore, and so they are trying to create a virtual reality to satisfy them self. I am really happy, that none of them makes the decisions about the future of this country. So for me, they can create “the truth” about Kosova, but that is not important. Important is the reality there, and that is totally different from the image they are selling here. What I am trying to say is that “the truth” written in this encyclopaedia will not be a part of Vienna agreement and will not ever affect anything that has to do with the independence of Kosova. That is the only important thing.
Hope to hear from you soon. Bye --Mig11 21:17, 26 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi again Mig. I must say great observations from your side. And I agree fully with your last paragraph, this pushy virtual "truth" some are trying to impose here, has absolutely no impact on the reality, and the very possible outcome - formal recognition of independence of Kosova, a day I look forward to. Then I would be very happy to edit here, and shut the big mouths of some sick nationalists. Another reason why I decided to abandon this forum for some time, is that I realized that some people have too many accounts opened, and it is hard to cope with their edits having just one account. It was a tiring thing, and instead enjoyed the company of my friends, and trips around. On the other hand, I am having a tough time deciding where to travel. I am a bit pressured by the time, and job interviews, and seems like I have to cancel the Spain trip, and thinking of visiting Cologne/Köln (again) or go to Lisbon. GOod luck with your exams, the job, and the great music concerts :). I hope to hear from you soon, as well. ilir_pz 14:49, 27 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

About those changes that you've been making, "Pristina" gets many more Google hits than "Prishtina", and according to policy, articles are supposed to generally contain the most commonly-used terms, so I recommend that you leave the terms the way they are.--Rouge Rosado Oui? 21:01, 20 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

First of all: who are you to tell me how to edit?! You are now not even a month in this wiki (since 23.09.2006) and you are already a specialist in topics I edited?? You are almost a clear case of sock puppetry. Did you even put an eye to the discussions? This is not the Google search machine, this is an encyclopaedia! --Mig11 09:20, 21 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
You just reverted the sentences I edited. The name of the city is not the thing you are worried about. Am I right? You didn’t wrote anywhere Pristina but Priština. So you did the absolute contrary of what you seem to believe in (Pristina gets more hits - you said). I find that very strange.--Mig11 09:45, 21 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Help

user:Mig11 is attacking me on my talk page in albanian language. Please stop this or do something to block that person. I have deleted the attacks from my talk page, but they can be found on history. Thank you. --Aeternus 11:09, 22 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Aeternus attacked me first, by using very offensive terms. He does not like my taste of music and that is for him a reason to block me! he deleted the discuscion on his talk page, because his own words (in albanian) are offensive and a try to insult me! I for myself didn`t delete anything, because i do not have anything to hide, as you can see on my talk page! just because I was once blocked (for the first time in wiki, because of the 3rr-rule) he thinks that he can block me whenever he likes that. that is what he wrote in albanian in my talk-page! he is spreadin negativ propaganda in other user pages about me and my taste of music! this is unbeliveable! I hope you can judge this issue neutral (although I was blocked from you :)). Thank you.--Mig11 11:23, 22 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
I do not speak Albanian and am therefore unable to judge whether anyone has been attacked here. I don't know of any admins who do speak it, although you may be able to find one by making a post on WP:AN/I. Stifle (talk) 13:41, 22 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Hey, hey, hey; take steps - translate, bolden and cite the personal attacks as well as the diffs. --PaxEquilibrium 16:41, 22 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Is HRE sticking his nose again in places he shouldn't be. I guess so :-) So Pax you can understand Albanian? Go on, share some gossip, don't be selfish! Tonycdp 14:10, 23 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi Tonycdp! Thank you for your message. It seems that you also know with whom we are dealing here :) . Anyway, the last 2 days were the most beautiful days in this year for me. So I frankly don’t care about his or someone else’s propaganda. I am simply just a very happy girl, so that nothing / no one can spoil that to me! Sorry Pax = HRE & co :)
I mean: please block me - if that will make you and your anti-mig11-party happy. I know what happiness is, so I wish that to everybody else too. Oh please sing together now: What a Wonderful World.....--just a happy girl :) 18:46, 23 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Can you please explain why you removed infobox and my other edits in this article: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mali%C5%A1evo&diff=84199570&oldid=84156504 PANONIAN (talk) 03:59, 29 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

It was not my intention. I was actually trying to edit something else in that article and at that time my internet was playing crazy. --just a happy girl :) 09:07, 29 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
