I have reverted your addition of a birth date to Elizabeth Lail. IMDb is not a reliable source for use in Wikipedia articles. Please see WP:IMDB for comments about it. You might also want to look at WP:USERGENERATED to see some other sources that are similarly unreliable. Eddie Blick (talk) 21:48, 8 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Shalka Doctor, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Master. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you have added Creative Commons licensed text to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as The Toymaker (Doctor Who). You are welcome to import appropriate Creative Commons licensed content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Compatibly licensed sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any Creative Commons content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 13:36, 23 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

For legal reasons, Wikipedia strictly cannot host copyrighted text or images from print media or digital platforms without an appropriate and verifiable license. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information. Hi there, I've noticed you've been creating various Doctor Who character related articles recently. While I appreciate the effort, I would advise you to please keep in mind several things going forward.

-You cannot plagiarize on Wikipedia. Recent articles you've heavily worked on (such as The Toymaker (Doctor Who) and Sutekh (Doctor Who)) took large swathes of content from other sources, with the latter being tagged as G7 due to the severity of the violations. Please write content in your own words.

-Make sure you're verifying that the subject meets the general notability guideline. Both The Toymaker and the Shalka Doctor have previously been nominated for deletion and redirected to other pages for not meeting the bar needed to have a separate article, and your current revisions of those articles did not demonstrate anything showing them to be significantly and independently notable of the subject. Please add sources that show an impact from the characters, such sources analyzing them or sources detailing the Reception the character has received. I'd familiarize yourself with how other articles on fictional characters do it (A lot of video game characters tend to be consistently good- with exceptions- so I'd suggest starting there.)

-You should upload images through the Wikipedia File Uploader, and not the Commons. The Commons is only used for images that are not under copyright. Both of your images from the Shalka Doctor are screenshots of his works and very much under copyright. I've nominated both for speedy deletion due to copyright violations. If you wish to use images in the future, use the Wikipedia file uploader and fill in all the required fields before uploading.

I appreciate your efforts regardless, but please do bear this in mind in the future so that your articles will not run afoul with other editors for violating various rules or not meeting quality standards. Happy editing, wishing you the best. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 16:48, 23 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Micsik Krisztián Hi, I notice since I've posted this that you've created another article in the form of The General (Doctor Who). I have reverted this per copyright violations and a lack of significant coverage in sources. I understand that it is likely that you have missed this message, so I have made sure to ping you this time. Please be aware that copyright violations such as these are against Wikipedia guidelines, and can land you in a great deal of trouble. I'd advise reviewing the guidelines if you haven't already, and I'm willing to explain things if you need help, but please be aware that if you keep up with persistent violations, you may wind up in greater trouble. Let me know if you have any questions, or if I can help in any way. All the best. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 20:58, 23 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Is the writing of The Meep is not a copyright violation? Micsik Krisztián (talk) 21:59, 23 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Micsik Krisztián from what I can tell, I don't believe the text was directly copied, so it shouldn't be an issue on that front. However, the Meep's image should not be uploaded via Commons, as the images are both under copyright and do not belong to you. Please use Wikipedia's file uploader for something like that.
However, I don't believe the Meep is meeting the general notability guideline covered above, per its recent articles for deletion nomination. A brief search on my part didn't yield many new sources since the last nomination, and most sources covering the Meep had issues due to the fact very few were covering the Meep independently of The Star Beast. I feel this one should probably be redirected.
I will note this sourcing issue is persistent for other articles you've made (Namely Sutekh and the Toymaker) in that the sources covering them did not cover them independently of their returnee episodes, or had a SUSTAINED issue. Sutekh remains to be seen given his episode only aired a few days ago, but the Toymaker seems to have a similar issue. I definitely think the Toymaker's status will change given he seems to be having an important role in the current seasons of the show.
It's a large part in why a large number of Doctor Who character related articles were removed lately, as they too suffered from notability issues or sustained coverage. I feel some current articles still suffer from this, and lots of them need improvements, but newer articles should try their best to adhere to the standards as best as possible, as standards tend to be stricter on newer articles than on old ones, which many are less likely to check. If you want me to explain sourcing a bit more, let me know, since I understand it can be very confusing if you're unfamiliar with it. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 23:59, 23 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Micsik Krisztián I have redirected The Meep per the fact that it actually did contain copyright violations in its text without proper attribution. Additionally, the images are still copyright violations, as they should be uploaded through Wikipedia's file uploader, and not Commons. I have mentioned these issues with copyright violations in the past, and I am afraid I may have to report this if you do not stop with these copyright violations.
I have additionally redirected the Wrarth Warriors do to the fact that they lack significant coverage in reliable sources, with all coverage pertaining to The Star Beast (Doctor Who episode) with the Wrarth only being an aspect of the episode. Another article you created, which is admittedly out of my scope, Dark Jedi, has also being PROD'd by another user for similar reasons. For reference, IMDB is not a reliable source, as any user can edit it and make unreliable content. If you need help with sourcing, please let me know, and I am willing to explain this in further detail.
While your actions seem to be good faith, if you continue to ignore what I'm saying about copyright violations, I will likely have to report this for consistent disruptive action, as Commons has had to deal with removing all violating images and several editors have had to remove infringing edits in the edit history. Please keep this in mind going forward. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 20:33, 24 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Dark Jedi (Star Wars fan film)

edit

The article Dark Jedi (Star Wars fan film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence found of notability for this fan film, no reliable independent sources giving significant attention to this.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
