Welcome!
editHello, Michael P Clarence, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- Tutorial
- How to edit a page and How to develop articles
- How to create your first article (using the Article Wizard if you wish)
- Simplified Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}}
before the question. Again, welcome! Victuallers (talk) 08:02, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
Welcome Michael
editPleased to see that John got you started at editing the wiki. One place to practice is on the wiki page for your school or college. All the senior schools have articles but which will be the first to have a version in another language? Thrilled to see the level of interest as I'm an ex ICT teacher so I'm willing to give virtual help if you ask questions here Victuallers (talk) 08:02, 24 October 2012 (UTC)

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:

Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~)
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put
{{My sandbox}}
on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.GibraltarpediA
