I especialy liked what you added to the Colonels' Eco-anxiety article. The first meta study on climate change & reproductive choice was written a few weeks back, I've been reading much of the literature on the topic recently - and your thoughts on the complex motivations seemned wiser and more useful than anything I saw in said reliable sources. That said, on wikipedia, it's important to cite everything you add to an article. I can see you're already good at citations, but you didn't cite the last paragraph of the addition to Eco-anxiety at all. If that's your own opinion, it shouldn't be added no matter how inciteful, unless you can find a WP:RS that backs it up. I'm just saying this as it should help you get more of your contributions accepted; it would be great to see more of your work here. FeydHuxtable (talk) 08:33, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
- To expand on FeydHuxtable's last comment, an error that I see you making is that you add a large amount of text but cite a source for your first sentence only. If the source that you're citing supports all of the content that you're adding, the proper way to indicate that in the article is to place the citation at the end of the paragraph that it supports. If it supports multiple paragraphs, name the ref and cite that ref name at the end of each paragraph. Also, it's seldom useful to name the author of the source in the body text unless they are previously mentioned in the body or their expertise is established in the text. Name-dropping without context (
"Robbins and Sharp's work
—who are Robbins and Sharp and why do we care?) isn't helpful to the reader; just summarize the information, readers can see the authors in the references section. Schazjmd (talk) 14:26, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
