Biotin

Ref #18 (Said 2013) states that biotin synthesis in the large intestine ins equivalent in amount to food consumption, and some of it is as potentially absorbable free biotin.. Not clear if this is animal or human evidence. Mentions in vitro coloncytes absorb biotin. The Present Knowledge in Nutrition text states that there is transport in the large intestine - calls it "minimal" - and does not state nature of that evidence. Likely animals. I have rewritten absorption section. What I could not find was any human evidence that urinary excretion of biotin and its metabolites was greater than orally consumed biotin. All this vitamin work brings back memories of my graduate school days. (My PhD thesis was on vitamin A deficiency.)
