Coalition for Inclusive Scouting

I see you have updated this article recently. Does the Coalition still exist? Their web address as listed in References isn't working nor is the linked address for G/LEARN. Also the sentence, "Awardees include James Dale (see Boy Scouts of America v. Dale), Matt Hill Comer.", is not written in proper English. It is missing the word "and" or something. If it is not corrected I may delete the whole sentence. Hi. When you uploaded Image:Triads4a04-04.jpg, you did not specify complete source and copyright information. Another user subsequently tagged it with {{GFDL-presumed}} and, for some time, it has existed on Wikipedia under the assumption that you created the image and you agreed to license it under the GFDL. This assumption, however well-meaning, is not legally sufficient and the tag is being phased out. Images using it are being deleted.

If you did not create the image, and cannot make the image compliant with Wikipedia:Non-free content, simply do nothing and it will be deleted in a week. Edit War

This is not personal, nor is it in any sense directed against Q-Notes or the LGBT community. One of my pet peeves is advertising and self promotion on Wikipedia (which is what got me into this.) While I realize you are desirous of letting people know that Q-Notes is available in their community and that it covers local events, this isn't the appropriate venue for that kind of thing.

I think it's fair that if a periodical is published in, or has established bureaus in a city, then it can be considered a local publication. Otherwise we wind up considering things like the various advert flyer publications that are also available by home delivery. I also actually get tons of political events that advertise local events. I wouldn't want to include them either.

It is also a problem for me that you are the editor of Q-Notes. that certainly makes you anything but a neutral party. Digitalican (talk) 00:51, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Regardless of my position at the paper, on the point of "local" - Q-Notes is printed in Durham and hand-delivered by a staff person of the paper who lives in the Triangle to physical locations and news boxes across the Triangle area. Matt (talk) 04:58, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
