Saving Private Ryan

edit

I reverted your last change since FUBAR was referenced several times in the film. It wasn't vandalism.--Will2k 13:13, May 20, 2005 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for creating a new map for the New Zealand article. I take it is based on the map that was already there which was a CIA World Factbook map and so public domain. Under what license are you releasing your modification? Evil MonkeyHello 00:57, May 31, 2005 (UTC)

Images uploaded to Wikipedia should be licensed so that they can be used by anyone. The standard license would be a GFDL license. Just add {{GFDL}} to the image description page. Or alternatively, you could release the image into public domain by adding {{PD-self}}. Evil MonkeyHello 02:05, May 31, 2005 (UTC)

I've put some comments on the two versions of the maps at Talk:New Zealand.-gadfium 02:45, 31 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

Can you please check this Map ASAP. It has several errors. See my comments in Talk:New Zealand - SimonLyall 07:43, 31 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

Okay reverted, We'll see how the next version goes. Another thing I notice is on the main NZ page the comments under the picture (about islands not shown) match the text in the picture.Maybe they can be taken out and the chatams squeezed in? SimonLyall 12:03, 31 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

Test(1)

edit

If you wish to make tests, please make a user subpage instead of creating a new article in the main namespace. Thanks. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 07:50, 31 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

Sandbox

edit

Hi, if you want to test, please make a subpage at the Wikipedia:Sandbox and start testing as much as you'd like. Sjakkalle 07:51, 31 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

The Shawshank Redemption

edit

Err, why did you move this off? The movie is much better know than the book and the book has a seperate title. I really don't think it needed a disambig page. Not to mention it didn't update any links pointing to it and you didn't move the talk page. Can you please idscuss this on the (original) talk page. SimonLyall 11:48, 31 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletes

edit

Please do not blank pages when marking them for speedy delete. Also, please consider whether the articles really fall under the wikipedia:criteria for speedy deletion, or if wikipedia:votes for deletion is more appropriate. (fx Air Force Security Police and AN/SPG-51 missile director radar are not speedies IMO). Thue | talk 12:50, 31 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

Garden State major edit

edit

As you didn't do anything on that page since 09:29, May 30, 2005 I was wondering whether you are still working on that major edit of Garden State (movie), or if you just forgot to remove the notice...? --Fritz S. 18:27, Jun 8, 2005 (UTC)

edit
An image or media file you uploaded, Image:Wine blenheim wikipedia.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

Your User Page Heading

edit

This content is restricted to Wikipedia.org

Unfortunately, this is not possible. Licensing for Wikipedia, as you probably know, is done under the GNU Free Documentation License. This license provides that anyone can use your edits, provided they follow the terms, which include attribution, licensing again under GFDL, including the text of the license, etc. So it is impossible for you to restrict the content of your user page to Wikipedia. By editing Wikipedia, you have sent those edits freely into the world, while retaining the copyright.

It might be best to change that header to something along the lines found in the {{Userpage}} template. If you have any questions, just leave me a message. Thanks, Bratschetalk | Esperanza 03:32, 16 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

TV3 (New Zealand)

edit

You placed a wikify tag on this, but didn't explain why. Normally, a wikify tag is placed on articles which don't contain internal links or sections, or which are very badly formatted. I don't see these problems in this article. Could you perhaps explain on its talk page what improvements you would like to see? In the meantime, I've removed the tag.-gadfium 08:23, 11 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
