Indefinite sum

What would be a good source to cite?[1] Halo Jerk1 (talk) 12:28, 25 January 2020 (UTC)

I don’t know. I requested a citation because I tried that formula myself and it didn’t work, which kinda brought into question the validity of it. I figured someone would either respond by correcting it if something is off, deleting it if it’s invalid, or provide a source that also explains when the formula does and doesn’t work.
