Hello, I'm correcting a tracked syntax error on Wikipedia called the Tidy Font bug, and this page has seven of these errors within three signatures.

When links are written in the <font>link</font> format with the color specified outside of the link, browsers don't agree on how to display the colors. Some browsers display it with the specified colors, and others default back to the standard link blue.

If you are willing, would you change:

<font color="#1B1BB3">Ham</font><font color="#98ED00">tech</font><font color="#FB000D">person</font>

to

<span style="color:#1B1BB3">Ham</span><span style="color:#98ED00">tech</span><span style="color:#FB000D">person</span>
<font color="#000000">Royal</font><font color="#FFCC00">broil</font>

to

<b style="color:#000000">Royal</b><b style="color:#FFCC00">broil</b>

and

<font color="#003366">Lourie</font><font color="#1A4F85">Pieterse</font>

to

<b style="color:#003366">Lourie</b><b style="color:#1A4F85">Pieterse</b>

This is a scaled back request from the request I made on Materialscientist's talk page last week that has not received any response. Had hoped to fix all the WP:LINT errors on this page in one go, offering the before and after states in my sandbox so the changes could be clearly identified.

Since there was no response to that, I'm proceeding with this scaled back request of only the high priority issues so that they can be addressed. The other, lesser, priority issues are not as important and can be addressed at another time.
