Inca Empire
editHello, I've reverted some of your changes to the Inca Empire article. The first one is the addition of Ama sua... as a national motto which is an error on two accounts: the Inca Empire was not a nation and the said motto is a modern invention, you won't find a single mention of it in 16th or 17th century chronicles. The second revert is the addition of the wiphala to the infobox. The flag issue has been discussed several times at Talk:Inca Empire. Every time the consensus has been that the Incas had no flag. To summarize the conclusions: the incas had no notion of flag or nation. The mentions of Inca national flags by chronists like Cobo (BTW a very late one) is more a reinterpretation of what they were told about in the light of their European culture. That is, they came from a world where kingdoms were represented by flags so they tried to find the same in the Inca Empire. If you want to change this things it would be great to discuss them first at Talk:Inca Empire. Oh and btw, welcome to the English Wikipedia!!! You might want to check out WP:PERU. Greetings, --Victor12 02:19, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hello, I can't wait to check your references for "Ama sua..." and the wiphala at Talk:Inca Empire. I'm always looking for interesting discussions, :-) For the time being I have reverted your edit again, it seems to me this changes need to be sourced before being added, specially since they go against previous discussions held at the talk page. So, let's see the sources first at Talk:Inca Empire (I'll also present my own) and discuss. That way, anyone interested can comment and we'll eventually reach some consensus. Greetings, --Victor12 13:38, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Incan agriculture
editHi Kanon6917. You are off to such a great start on the article Incan agriculture that it may qualify to appear on Wikipedia's Main Page under the Did you know... section. The Main Page gets about 4,000,000 hits per day and appearing on the Main Page may help bring publicity and assistance to the article. However, there is a five day from article creation window for Did you know... nominations. Before five days pass from the date the article was created and if you haven't already done so, please consider nominating the article to appear on the Main Page by posting a nomination at Did you know suggestions. If you do nominate the article for DYK, please cross out the article name on the "Good" articles proposed by bot list. Also, don't forget to keep checking back at Did you know suggestions for comments regarding your nomination. Again, great job on the article. -- Jreferee (Talk) 01:33, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

editMachu Picchu
editHello, I just reassessed Machu Picchu as a Top importance article for WP:PERU as you requested. Demoting it from Top to High was my mistake, thanks for pointing it out. Guidelines establishing which Peru-related articles are Top importance are set out here Wikipedia:WikiProject Peru/Assessment/Top, you might want to check them out. For further discussion on this guidelines you can post at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Peru/Assessment. Greetings, --Victor12 23:56, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, the next collaboration effort for WP:PERU is not due until October 5, so there's still time to propose candidates. Your English seems OK, why not propose it yourself? If you want I can check it for grammar and orthography. Anyway, as there's still time so no rush. Greetings, --Victor12 00:43, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Pale Blue Dot (book).GIF
editThanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Pale Blue Dot (book).GIF. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Diagonalley.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Diagonalley.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 16:29, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

editPlease do not upload or use any more images until you have read and understood WP:IUP, our image use policy. Thanks. --Yamla 16:29, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
- I read the WP:IUP, now there is the information about the source, summary and the information about the licensing and the correct use of the images. All is OK.--Kanon6917 01:44, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:SuiteLifeofZack&Cody.PNG)
editThanks for uploading Image:SuiteLifeofZack&Cody.PNG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 20:22, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
