William J. Brennan moved to draftspace edit

Thanks for your contributions to William J. Brennan. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because you may have a possible Conflict of Interest. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. signed, Rosguill talk 17:24, 13 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

How do I prove I do not have a conflict of interest? Marcbrookland (talk) 17:48, 13 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hello, I wanted to follow up here. Can you provide clarity where in this page there is any conflict of interest? Only facts, supported by many, many resources, are used. It's also nearly identical in content to other prominent attorneys in Philadelphia and attorneys involved in the Trump trials such as Michael van der Veen, Bruce Castor and David Schoen. Hello - Following back up if you're able to assist further. I'm unsure how to resolve this issue, or find my original code to edit. Marcbrookland (talk) 12:35, 17 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest edit

Hello, Marcbrookland. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page William J. Brennan, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Jalen Folf (Bark[s]) 04:43, 21 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for that isight, Jalen.
What do I do if these points do not apply to me? I think I'm so confused because I'm unsure how my writing led to any type of conflict of interest - It's all strictly facts about the contributions of the attorney of record regarding the Trump legal proceedings. I thought it was a new-worthy topic, as the other attorneys also have wiki pages mentioning their contributions. To address each point:
- This article is not about myself, my family, friend, colleague, company, organization, client or competitor.
- I do not have a conflict of interest.
- I don't believe I've linked to the organization's website in other articles.
- I believe I've complied with all wiki policies.
- I am not been paid any compensation to write this article.
I'm unsure how to proceed if the alleged policy violations do not seem to apply to me. Are you able to further direct? Marcbrookland (talk) 20:45, 21 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
