Sockpuppetry case

edit

You are suspected of sockpuppetry, which means that someone suspects you of using multiple Wikipedia accounts for prohibited purposes. Please make yourself familiar with the notes for the suspect, then respond to the evidence at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Maquiguy. Thank you. --Ronz (talk) 02:25, 30 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

FYI, I co-authored that posting on the hubpages, I own the copywrite to the content and decided to modify it and share it on wikipedia, I have cleaned up the content , which had too many citations and external links I will admit that. I have reposted the content without the infractions you stated... and with an account that does not disrespect the username rule. You have left me no choice I have to report you for Reverse Vandalism.

I can’t be sockpuppet with only one active account.

I ask you to do some research and find out who my co-author is. Maybe you can request that they be banned too. Stop Trolling and let the positive information flow.

I will post “Hi Ronz” on the hubpages if you would like. (Maquiguy (talk) 02:41, 30 March 2010 (UTC))Reply

You should respond at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Maquiguy#Comments_by_accused_parties. --Ronz (talk) 03:23, 30 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia behavioral policies

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Thanks for taking the time to make some initial contributions. However, I hope you aren't offended by my pointing out to you some of Wikipedia's basic behavioral policies and guidelines. In addition to WP:SOCK, mentioned above, these include our talk page guidelines, not using Wikipedia for personal battles, civility, edit-warring, and no personal attacks. When in doubt, focus on content rather than contributors. Thanks! --Ronz (talk) 03:21, 30 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Ok fair enough, let's call truce, I'd like to make Maqui Berry a better page, please let's work together. I have some well researched and well written content I would like to share here, I can prove ownership, and I would like to be able to add helpful links. to many authoritative content sites.

FYI I had to report you because you were abusing your privileges. There are complaints all over your talk board.

Let's just focus on the content. in your opinion how can I make the content on the Maqui berry page better? Maquiguy (talk) 03:26, 30 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

For your sake, you should respond to the SPI report linked above. It would also help you to withdraw your complaint to WP:AIV before it is reviewed. If you read the instructions at the top of WP:AIV, you'll see that my editing does not qualify.
After that's done, you should provide those sources you promised. If you simply list them on the article talk page, other editors will be happy to integrate them into the article if they meet our verification policies and guidelines (WP:V and WP:RS). --Ronz (talk) 03:34, 30 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

How would you like me to prove the copyright belongs to me? I will post on hubpage, that this material is available to wikipedia I wil also properly cite all soources Maquiguy (talk) 03:48, 30 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for help on proving the copyright belongs to you. Cunard (talk) 04:06, 30 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the helpful link. one quick question to you: please review http://hubp ages.com/hub/The-Origins-of-the-Maqui-Berry

bottom section:

Moving a Modified Version of Content to Wikipedia

Hi everyone, this is just a quick update we are in the process of moving a modified version of this hubpage to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maqui_berry - Please bookmark that page as well. it has been a barren waste land of information for far too long.

I implore to all our readers to contribute to the maqui berry section on wikipedia

Special Note: to would-be content thiefs or vandalizers on Wikipedia.org: we own the copyright to this content and give the expressed permission for the modified version to be posted on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maqui_berry - so long as citations are included.

Does that suffice as notice of copy donation?

as owner of this copywritten material I would like to be able to properly cite our sources which will include the original article as well as a link to our main site where other helpful material can be made available.

I have no problem making this a copyleft if it can stir up some quality research / content.

It just makes it very difficult with the number of attacks I have received over this.

I would also like to state that further comments or edits or suggestions offered by Ronz will be considered in bad faith. Ronz is not my personal article police and I would like him to be reprimanded or told to stop stepping over his bounds as a non administrator. I appreciate feedback input, after-all that is what wikipedia is about but I request that Ronz be put on notice in regards to rollback / edits on this page Maqui_Berry. Maquiguy (talk) 04:23, 30 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your request is itself a failure to WP:AGF. Don't do that. You must learn to collaborate with other editors. You have a COI in regards to this subject, and Wikipedia's Law of Unintended Consequences applies to you, and not to other editors. Read it before saying anything more. It is followed by this serious warning:
  • "Accounts that appear, based on their edit history, to exist for the sole or primary purpose of promoting a person, company, product, service, or organization in apparent violation of this guideline should be warned and made aware of this guideline. If the same pattern of editing continues after the warning, the account may be blocked."
You are already skating on thin ice, so be very careful. -- Brangifer (talk) 04:28, 30 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Good advice, thanks good collaboration is what I want. I need to brush up on some of the procedures here but that should not take too long. again thanks for input. Maquiguy (talk) 04:35, 30 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
My Bad faith is only from a direct results of actions placed against me. This is one of my first edits but not the only Section I will be active in. I agree I have a COI it's hard not to in this niche, I'd like to properly disclose my potential COI I believe that the content that we wish to provide is not promotional in nature, informative and helps spread good information. I'm in a catch 22 here, because of my expertise in this field there are additional resources I would like to share (a small % are useful sites that I do control copyright of) I hope to be able to turn that into a positive for this section. and welcome all advice / feedback to make that happen. again thanks for your response. Maquiguy (talk) 04:42, 30 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

The notice you placed does not suffice because it does not explicitly say that it releases the content to the GFDL and Creative Commons licenses (see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials#Granting us permission to copy material already online). And please remove the "special note" that you added to the page; it is not necessary and is an attack on the contributors here.

Furthermore, the website and its content are currently unacceptable here because hubpages.com has been placed on the MediaWiki:Spam-blacklist. If you would like to contest this blacklisting, please make a request at MediaWiki talk:Spam-blacklist#Proposed removals. Thanks, Cunard (talk) 04:44, 30 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Ok, good advice now I have a hurdle because the domain hubpages.com (a major website) is spam blocked? that's quite a tall order... and borderline ridiculous. there are probably a few bad apples on hubpages but that doesn't mean all content provided on there is considered unfit, if that was true the initial copyright infringement complaints would have no merit. since all hubpages contact would be blacklisted and not considered good enough to be even considered content. you do realize how silly that sounds.
