Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Manya (actress), without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you.   Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to remove portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Manya (actress) with this edit, you may be blocked from editing. Jab843 (talk) 17:59, 14 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. The next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Manya (actress) with this edit, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Jab843 (talk) 18:00, 14 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Your recent editing history at Manya (actress) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Your edits at Manya (actress)

edit

Your edits at Manya (actress) are problematic, for a couple of reasons:

  • You said there were "false edits". Wikipedia takes errors in biographies of living persons very seriously, but removing the entire content is not the appropriate way to deal with it. By now you have clarified which statements you object to; now we can discuss fixing those issues without blanking all the content.
  • You have removed content that was based on reliable sources, such as your birthdate or the name of your husband. Now it's possible that even sources that are generally considered reliable got it wrong, but we'd like to see some evidence, particularly when multiple sources report the same facts.
  • I assume that was inadvertent, but in the process you not just removed the information you dispute, but also broke the formatting.

The page to hold a discussion about the article's content is its talk page, where someone else already commented on your content reversal. The article has by now been protected to stop the edit-warring; this is a good time to establish a consensus on what the article should say. Huon (talk) 19:05, 14 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 12 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 19:05, 14 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Mayna, I have unblocked your account so you can participate in the conversation at Talk:Manya (actress). When the page protection expires, do not dive back into edit warring. Please wait for a consensus to be drawn on the talk page. As Huon explained, some of your story isn't adding up. Either way as an encyclopedia we want to get the facts straight, and your input is encouraged. Thanks — MusikAnimal talk 21:14, 14 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
