Speedy deletion nomination of Wong Wian Hua Jai edit

A tag has been placed on Wong Wian Hua Jai requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Your contributions edit

Hello. Your contributions are welcome, but it's clear that English is not your first language; the articles are very difficult to read and comprehend. Since your interest seems to lie in Indian cinema, perhaps you should consider contributing to the Tamil Wikipedia. Thanks. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:20, 6 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

First of all, do not ever come onto my talk page or that of any other user on this site with a poor attitude like you showed on mine. It's clear you speak English, but perhaps not on a level sufficient enough to contribute. I don't wish to hurt your feelings; this is not meant as an insult. I have another concern, that of copyright issues. Your articles appear to be either machine translated or translated by you directly from text in another language. This may not in any fashion be done by you, I or anyone else here. Finally, it is my duty as an administrator to express concern over a user's contributions. Since you aren't being bullied in any way, there is no need to demand to be "left alone." This is a joint effort and as such, you are required to abide by the rules of this website. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 22:01, 6 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

One more thing: If you are going to rewrite articles on Thai television dramas, please first review similar articles on other programs to get an idea of what the finished product should look like. Again, if English is not your first language, there are Wikipedia projects in virtually every language on the planet. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 22:07, 6 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Let's try this again: First, please do not come onto my page or that of any user with an attitude. Second, being autistic does not in any way excuse you from the rules. Third, if you violate WP:CIVIL again or create another incomprehensible article, you're going to be blocked. I have tried to be nice and I've tried to be helpful, but you leave me no choice but to be firm with you. PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:01, 9 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Manhawlover, you need to be more polite - as PMDrive1061 has said, the rules exist for everyone - there are no exceptions, no clauses for people with autism, or people with other problems. May I suggest that you act in a mature, polite, civil way. May I also suggest that if there is an article that you think needs to be created, you could leave a message at Wikipedia:Requested articles - but before you do that, make sure that the subject is notable (and as you are interested in Manhwa, probably Notable Books), and provide some references from reliable sites. Then someone who is better able to write out an article could create it. -- PhantomSteve (Contact Me, My Contribs) 02:13, 9 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Articles for deletion nomination of Gumrah (1993 film) edit

Speedy deletion nomination of File:MyEx.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:MyEx.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image with an unknown source or an unknown copyright status which has been tagged as such for more than 7 days, and it still lacks the necessary information.

— dαlus Contribs 02:48, 9 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

My concerns edit

Hello again. Frankly, I'd rather have a thousand folks with limited English skills such as yourself sign up for this project than just one more snotty little vandal. That being said, I am at a loss as to what to do. It's clear you mean well, you seem to have a good grasp of wiki markup and layout, yet you're writing about things which are either too trivial to be included or you're posting copyrighted material word-for-word like you did with some of those opening day comments on those Korean films. You're also failing to provide licensing for the movie posters, as you can see by the comments the user left above. As a result, I've had to delete many of your recent entries.

I cannot stress enough the need for advanced English skills on this site. They are vitally important to the project. I am a part-time professional writer and I have trouble understanding much of what you've written. I don't want to discourage you from contributing, but before you go off writing multiple articles on obscure Korean films, let's discuss your next idea right here. You tell me what you wish to write about. I'll do the research, create the article, upload the pictures and show you what I did and how I did it. If it's not notable, I'll say so and we'll choose another subject. Fair enough? --PMDrive1061 (talk) 15:20, 9 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Additional image issues edit

This covers the following:

All of the images need to have a Fair Use Rationale (FUR) the includes:

    • What article(s) they are used in.
    • The reason they are being used.
    • Where the file came from. Either the website where you found it or a statement that you scanned it from something.

And some sort of licensing tag, which only the first two images have.

Without the source and licensing, the images will be deleted after 7 days. Without the FUR, they will be deleted after 2 days.

File source problem with File:Ricky_poster.jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Ricky_poster.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 07:54, 10 September 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 07:54, 10 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Yesungphoto.jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Yesungphoto.jpg.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Orphaned non-free image File:Ricky poster.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Ricky poster.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 06:40, 12 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
