Mac Bowles edit

A tag has been placed on Mac Bowles, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable. If you can indicate why Mac Bowles is really notable, you can contest the tagging. To do this, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and leave a note on Talk:Mac Bowles, explaining how Mac Bowles is notable. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, article #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Fan-1967 18:04, 25 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Pokémon stage categories edit

Hey Magi, I've come to talk to you about the Stage categories you're adding to some of the Pokémon related articles, and I was hoping you would stop just for now, while we discuss the drastic change at Wikipedia talk:Pokémon Collaborative Project#Pokémon stages. I noticed editors were planning to periodically revert you, and hope you got the message, but I thought it'd be much more useful if you joined in with discussion yourself.

I'm quite sure that the categories could be added to the articles in a much easier way, so please come and talk this out with WikiProject members. Cheers, Highway Grammar Enforcer! 08:20, 29 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Emsley A. Laney edit

Your recent addition to Emsley A. Laney High School is either out of place and requires a source, or is destructive, accusatory vandalism. It has been reverted. CMacMillan 17:48, 6 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Amber Baird edit

A tag has been placed on Amber Baird, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. If you plan to provide more material to the article, I advise you to do so immediately, and also put a note on Talk:Amber Baird. An administrator should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 1 under Articles. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and then immediately add such material. Your Civility at Multi-sport event edit

It is important to keep a cool head, especially when responding to comments against you or your edits. Personal attacks and disruptive comments only escalate a situation; please keep calm and remember that action can be taken against other parties if necessary. Remember the following:
  • Remain polite per WP:Civility.
  • Solicit feedback and ask questions.
  • Keep the discussion focused. Concentrate on a small set of related matters and resolve them to the satisfaction of all parties.
  • Focus on the subject rather than on the personalities of the editors.

Attacking another user back can only anger contributors and leads to general bad feeling. Please try to remain civil with your comments. Thank you!  Glen  20:37, 27 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Magikarp11, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

I'm not an admin, but I've been around here for a bit. If you have any questions, you're welcome to ask on my talk page. I do advise maintaining civility-changing an article's content to "F*** you B****" is generally not going to go over very well! You also may wish to go over the notability criteria before creating an article to make sure the subject is notable enough to be featured in one. Seraphimblade 20:52, 27 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
