March 2022 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, discussion pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 17:40, 7 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Scottish for flagging it. I was trying to add a new discussion on the 'Talk page' but then cannot find any buttons on the 'Talk page', therefore amending my previous comment including source from the company/ third party source.
I will bear this in mind. Yet please could I get your advice on how to reach a consensus on 'Talk page' before using the {{edit semi-protected}} template? i.e. any code required? MC112233 (talk) 12:43, 8 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
As an employee you should be using the {{request edit}} template instead, as the other templates are for general edit requests, not COI edit requests. As for getting a consensus, start a discussion using the "New Section" tab at the top of Talk:Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and outline your reasoning, as well as sources that support you. Often times it can take quite a while for conversation to occur, as the project is primarily edited by volunteers, so be patient. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 12:49, 8 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
