editHello, LynxTufts. Regarding my link, you posted the same type of link so if my is not valid than unfortunately neither is yours:The use of a fresh, sharp blade as well as proper cleaning and lubrication of skin can help prevent cuts. Hello, I'm Infoonthecloud. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Shaving have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Infoonthecloud (talk) 21:11, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Shaving. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Linking to commercial sites is generally not appropriate (unless referencing an article about that company) Infoonthecloud (talk) 14:45, 2 February 2018 (UTC)

Question
editHello, LynxTufts. Thanks for your anti-vandalism work, it's appreciated. Are you new here or have you had previous accounts? Widr (talk) 19:00, 16 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Widr: I had another account at one point but I forgot the login information for it. LynxTufts (talk) 19:17, 16 November 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks. Happy editing. Widr (talk) 19:20, 16 November 2016 (UTC)
Hello, LynxTufts. I received a message from you In November about the BAU page and wish to apologize because I did not mean to change it or even knew that I did. I was a mistake and I apologize again. --MelanieDarling (talk) 04:21, 5 January 2018 (UTC)
Why did you revert this clearly beneficial edit? Natureium (talk) 14:04, 16 October 2017 (UTC)
- The first edit removed context and made an incomplete sentence, right under Reusable_shopping_bag#Use_in_the_United_Kingdom. I missed that most of the other edited areas were either neutral or helpful. I restored the context so it should be OK now. LynxTufts (talk) 17:53, 16 October 2017 (UTC)

updated frank ocean occupation with sources now.
btw why you denied the change saying he's an independent musician? that's commonly known and pointed in his bio and sidebar JamesHo (talk) 21:21, 7 November 2017 (UTC) |
- My reversion was for the addition of 'photographer' when there was no information on the page about any work with photography. It would probably be a good idea to add a short description of what work he has actually done with photography (maybe in the Artistry section?), if it is to be included in his bio and is important enough to mention there. ArbCom 2017 election voter message
editHello, LynxTufts. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)

editliterally how on earth was my change on european australians removed? That wasnt an opinion of mine or based on my feelings its literally facts that british colonists came and colonised australia through genocide and much more. I get your white hurt feelings came in the way but feelings aren't facts. Facts are facts. Feelings can't be facts because they're subjective. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LJCeritez (talk • contribs) 20:09, 19 January 2018 (UTC)

External link question
editHello!
Why do you think it's inappropriate link??? My article is strict about change boot order and boot from removable device. Also my article is well written and has a lot of pictures. Also my article very close to article on link which already has "Change the Boot Order in BIOS". But I think in my article I dig more deeply and give a lot of examples. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nashgc (talk • contribs) 17:15, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
- I removed the link because it violated some of the guidelines for external links outlined at WP:LINKSTOAVOID:
- Individual web pages[6] that primarily exist to sell products or services, or to web pages with objectionable amounts of advertising. The linked site is for a business and includes multiple requests to 'contact us'.
- Blogs, personal web pages and most fansites (negative ones included), except those written by a recognized authority.

The Woodmont Company
editHi LynxTufts, I saw that you left a message on User talk:Woodmont2018. I proposed The Woodmont Company for speedy deletion, and Woodmont2018 has left a message on Talk:The Woodmont Company. It's clear that this user is part of the company. They want to improve their article. I'm a fairly new editor and I'm not sure where to point them for help - are you able to advise them? Many thanks, Tacyarg (talk) 21:59, 14 February 2018 (UTC)
