Village Blacksmith

edit

Nowhere in the Time magazine article does it state that Longfellow was inspired by or imitated this particular work; it merely notes its existence before Longfellow's poem. Unless you find a source that explicitly makes the connection, you are violating the Wikipedia policy on original research by drawing your own conclusions. Please remove this addition or, at the very least, re-word it to reflect the source you used, something to the effect of, "an earlier work references a blacksmith." I can not revert at this point due to the three revert rule. --Midnightdreary (talk) 16:15, 17 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:Thames-water-logo.svg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Thames-water-logo.svg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 21:20, 22 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Rosie Holt

edit

Hello, Lowndesc

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Dan arndt, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I’ve proposed an article that you started, Rosie Holt, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. To prevent the deletion, please add a reference to the article. You may remove the deletion tag yourself once the article has at least one reliable source.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Dan arndt}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Speedy deletion nomination of Rosie Holt

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rosie Holt requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. twotwofourtysix(My talk page and contributions) 10:51, 25 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
