License tagging for Image:Korn Billboardpromo.gif edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Korn Billboardpromo.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Korn official untitled albumcover.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Korn official untitled albumcover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 06:47, 21 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Duplicate images uploaded edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Kornevolutionhires.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Korn evolution hi-res.jpg. The copy called Image:Korn evolution hi-res.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 00:30, 11 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Non-free use disputed for Image:Evolutionbackcover.jpg edit

  This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Evolutionbackcover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 20:22, 11 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Korn template edit

Thanks for supporting our formatting guidelines with your edits on the template. I have messaged Ash48GotdaLife (talk · contribs) regarding that ongoing dispute, so maybe this will all be resolved soon. Since you are still quite new as well (and judging from the number of image related messages left on you talk page), would you like some explanation on how you can prevent your image uploads from being removed? - Cyrus XIII 11:59, 24 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

David Silveria is NOT in Korn anymore edit

Go to the band's official website (korn.com), look in their bio section. David is no longer listed. I edited their page to show this. Dark Executioner 17:44, 5 November 2007 (UTC)Dark ExecutionerReply

Drumming Duties for "Haze" edit

Since David is gone, who recorded the drum tracks? I'm guessing that it was either Ray Luzier or Jonathan Davis. Do you know for certain? -- Dark Executioner (talk) 17:34, 16 November 2007 (UTC)Dark ExecutionerReply

I have no idea. Maybe Brooks Wackerman or JD? -- Lovetoadmire (talk) 21:59, 16 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

WTF? edit

How come the release date for "Haze" keeps getting pushed back? No wonder I haven't heard it anywhere except Youtube!Dark Executioner (talk) 16:03, 13 January 2008 (UTC)Dark ExecutionerReply

So Munky's still in Korn... for now, that is. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he ends up like David Silveria (us not hearing from him in over a year, not knowing if he's even still alive). Until he OFFICIALLY comes back, I'm just going to view this as yet another sad departure in the Korn world. They're falling apart, just like Black Sabbath did. I knew this day would come when Head left - something inside me told me that they couldn't carry on with the four remaining members. I would've MUCH preferred them to have broken up when Head left. That way, we would have all the great Korn albums, songs and memories NOT get tainted by the awfulness of See You On the Other Side or the ever-changing drummer (and now guitarist) position. Sigh... we can only hope that Korn snaps out of this phase soon and they won't further cause their fans to be the laughing stock of the metal world. Thanks for reading my rant, if you did. Danity Kane edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Danity Kane, [1] is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Admc2006 (talk) 06:59, 27 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Renaming pages edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently copied the contents of a page and pasted it into another with a different name. Specifically, you copied the contents of Trash (Korn) and pasted it into Trash (Korn song). This is what we call a "cut and paste move", and it is very undesirable because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. The mechanism we use for renaming an article is to move it to a new name which both preserves the page's history and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. In most cases, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. If there is an article that you cannot move yourself by this process, follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves to request the move by another. Also, if there are any other articles that you copied and pasted, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. File permission problem with File:Randy Orton Moneterrey.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Randy Orton Moneterrey.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hekerui (talk) 21:36, 18 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
