Richard Gombrich Article

I just finished reading Theravada Buddhism a couple days ago, so I thought it was an interesting coincidence that you'd just made a Gombrich article. I'm glad it got saved; he deserves an article. Stebbins 23:33, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Biographical articles for Buddhist scholars

Thanks for your message. yes, I have noticed that you are making needed biographical contributions for missing Buddhist scholars. I shall contribute if I feel I can add anything useful, time allowing. There are also a number of modern Japanese scholars who should get a mention, but who do not yet have entries. Hi, thanks for your work contributing to articles. I hope you won't mind if I make one suggestion. It's best to avoid words like "furthermore", "thus" and "therefor". It was a pleasure reading your work at Dharmaśāstra and other Hindu Law and monarchy articles. I read on your userpage that you are collaborating as part of a project at UW-Madison. Thanks for your reply. I hope you and your colleagues will continue to edit wikipedia even after the course has ended. I am surprised that the articles were rated C by Redtigerxyz, who is an experienced editor of Hinduism-related articles. I could bump up the rating to B on my own, but I would suggest that we need not bother with that intermediate step and instead get the article ready for a GA review, which is a more formalized process.

Also note that article rating are based on both the content and the conformance of the article with the wikipedia manual of style. The latter can be a stumbling block for editors who have not gone through or looked over the GA or FA review process. I will be happy to read through some of your articles over the next few days and make changes and/or add comments on the talk page. Abecedare (talk) 23:02, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
