Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Esther Hicks. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you.

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. Edit War Warning

edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Esther Hicks. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue. In particular the three-revert rule states that making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording and content that gains consensus among editors. If unsuccessful, then do not edit war even if you believe you are right. Post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.

Please note I'm not making a judgement yet on whether or not that link belongs, but since other editors disagree with you and it is a BLP, it would be best to continue the discussion you began on the talk page and gain consensus rather than continue to revert. Just so you'll know, I've listed the matter at RFC for more comments on the link and the "Criticism" section. Dayewalker (talk) 08:00, 18 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. I do appreciate your help. Lesley1914 (talk) 08:03, 18 November 2010 (UTC)lesley1914Reply

Did you know

edit

that if you put something, anything, on your User Page then your name will appear in blue rather then red and you will no longer(at least in my mind) be a suspicious character? Einar aka Carptrash (talk) 22:31, 18 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I had no idea. Thanks for the tip. Lesley1914 (talk) 23:06, 18 November 2010 (UTC)Lesley1914Reply

See. All my Hicks/Abraham training allowed me to manifest a blue User name for you. It is so much better, at least to my tired old eyes, than that other option. Carptrash (talk) 23:14, 18 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Maybe it was my focus wheels that inspired you to offer the advice ; ) Lesley1914 (talk) 23:25, 18 November 2010 (UTC)Lesley1914Reply

No doubt in my mind about that. Carptrash (talk) 23:28, 18 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

So how about doing an article on Doreen Virtue? Get rid of a bit more red. Carptrash (talk) 23:44, 18 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I've thought about that, but I assumed someone else tried and it got deleted. I haven't actually checked yet, but I would have thought someone would have been all over that (at the least, Virtue's people).Lesley1914 (talk) 23:57, 18 November 2010 (UTC)lesley1914Reply

She has written enough books to be considered wikiable, I believe. I'd start with something like "American author, lecturer and what ever," then gon from there. Have a section of her books too. Then see what happens, but if you need backup, let me know. Carptrash (talk) 00:06, 19 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

And not only has she garnered enormous popularity on her own, but she is incredibly successful under the Hay House brand. I think I'll look into that. "if you need backup, let me know" -Roger that. Lesley1914 (talk) 00:11, 19 November 2010 (UTC)lesley1914Reply
Ah! I see. It was labeled an Attack Page! How exciting! Lesley1914 (talk) 00:24, 19 November 2010 (UTC)lesley1914Reply
