I've been helping with the disruptive edits and constant spamming and reversing on the Clarice Cliff article but looking at it just now there appears to be three identical external links to www.claricecliff.com It might be better for all to not put any links to clubs at all? The article is NOT being improved at all and Wikipedia is NOT a directory. What does anyone else think? TeapotgeorgeTalk 19:04, 17 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Clarice Cliff photos edit

Thanks for uploading the photos recently they are so much better quality than the ones already up there. Any chance of gradually replacing the other poor quality ones? TeapotgeorgeTalk 11:11, 25 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello TG ! I agree the other pics are bad quality, but with the negative reception the 'other' person/people keep giving to any changes I make I'm hoping to slowly improve the text and images, withuot making it all to do with my work and research on CC. (There are still more books I can add as good sources, by other writers). There is a LOT more visual material I can put on here as I own Clarice Cliff's own stereosopic slides from 1949 to 1958, and many original 1930s black and white archivbe images. I'll make additions as time permits - its much better than the 'time wasting' process of changing their vandalism! Len14:06, 25 October 2008

If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

File copyright problem with File:Newport Pottery plaque.JPG edit

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Newport Pottery plaque.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sherool (talk) 00:29, 31 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Wedgwood Clarice Cliff reproductions 1992.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Wedgwood Clarice Cliff reproductions 1992.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 20:56, 27 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Non-free rationale for File:Clarice Cliff My Garden range 1934-5.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Clarice Cliff My Garden range 1934-5.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Felix QW (talk) 20:02, 16 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
