Additions to Finnish Civil War edit
Please remember to add Cite error: There are <ref> tags on this page without content in them (see the help page). citations to every sentence you add to Finnish Civil War. Currently it has too many chapters without citations, which is unacceptable for a Featured Article. If the reference quality of the article continues to deteriorate, we have to consider removing the FA-status. --Pudeo' 12:23, 13 December 2012 (UTC)
Thank you so much, for your nice comments, but are there, truly, WI-articles, which have citations after every SENTENCE ??!! In the end, the FA-status is not such a big deal, but lots work have been done with this, and since 2006 the txt, and the latest additions also (2009-2012), have (had) proper and correct citations, in every chapter of the art.. Accordingly, the historical-scientific value of the art. has gradually improved. The Copyeditors, who have changed the article, and truly have improved the language and the structure of the txt, seem not to mind what happens to the citation structure of the art., via their changes. The Editors have broken the chapters into smaller ones, and so there are at the moment chapts with their citations in the end of the following chapter. So, my friend, what do you propose(?); again, lots of work needs to be done to go through all the chapters with missing citations and those having cits, compare them and select the correct cits for the former ones, or go back to the former chapter structure with all the cits ok, or simply just led it be....?? - Yes, not necessarily after every sentence especially if the sentences deal with the very same thing and this is a very long article. Every paragraph should have one though. If you look at the chapter "Battle of Tampere" for example, the first three paragraphs have no citations but the last two have. If it's the case that that they've simply been split up to smaller paragraphs, we could use the same citation at several places with <ref name=citation1>text</ref> + <ref name=citation1 />.
- I'm not criticizing the work done on this article, I'm just worried because I want to let it stay as FA-class. I think part of the problem could be that the article might be getting too long. For such a general presentation on the war, not every section has to be very exact. It makes citating harder and some of the chapters look really long which doesn't make them look too attractive to read. As film directors say, it is as important to decide what to leave out as it is important what to put in. Do you think the article might have got too long on some parts? --Pudeo' 16:52, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you, we all know that you have done great job with this article. FCW might have two problems. First: some Editors have split it, in some parts, into far too short paragraphs (we should not underestimate the readers' capability to read longer paragraphs/chapters, if the text is informative enough). Second: some sections may be too long, but most of the foreign readers have poor knowledge of this conflict, the basics must be explained in more detail. But, as for the cits, simply copying citations from one place to another, without any critical preview, is truly not the proper way... Ldblsatin (talk) 18:29, 15 December 2012 (UTC)

German intervention edit
Hey Ldblsatin, two qns:
- "wanted both to chain Petrograd through Vyborg-Narva" / What's meant here? To chain in place i.e. secure? The wording is a bit unclear.
- "The final blow to the cause of the Finnish Reds was dealt when the Bolsheviks broke off the peace negotiations at Brest-Litovsk, leading to the German eastern offensive in February 1918." / Shouldn't this be higher up since the peace negotiations and Feb 1918 are discussed already in length? Seems odd it pops up without a reasonable connection in the end of the section
- Ldblsatin, ok this is my final gripe about the body text, otherwise it looks very good! "Part II of Linna's work opened the larger view and the tales of the Reds in the 1918 war, and had a significant mental effect in Finland" What mental effect is meant? Negative? Positive? Unifying? Dividing?
