Welcome!

Hello, Laadi, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits to the page Mohyal have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may be removed if they have not yet been. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. As well, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Kanwal Ziai

edit

Hi Laadi. As a new editor, you may not know about how Wikipedia's article history works. If you go to Kanwal Ziai, and at the top, above the article, you click "View history", you'll see a list of all edits made to the article along with edit summaries left by editors who made them. If you check that history, you'll see that each of the changes made to Kanwal Ziai were done in order to make the article conform to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. While there were a number, I'll highlight some of them here:

  • We do not include honorifics like "Padam Shri" in articles, per WP:MOS.
  • As a general rule, information on Wikipedia must be verified by reliable sources; most of what was in that article was not verified.
  • All information on Wikipedia must be neutral. We cannot say that someone made "great contributions" or was "one of the greatest poets" or things like that.
  • We are not a storage place for creative works like the poetry that you included. You may want to try Wikisource, which may take that information, but only if it's not copyrighted. On that point, never under any circumstances add copyrighted information or photographs to Wikipedia, as we must immediately remove those for both our site rules and legal reasons.

If you have questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page or on Talk:Kanwal Ziai. Qwyrxian (talk) 03:44, 14 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

I really do need you to stop adding that unsourced, non-neutral puffery and original material. This is simply not allowed, and continuing to do so will likely result in your account being blocked. Qwyrxian (talk) 04:13, 14 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Shweta Rathore.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Shweta Rathore.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 02:36, 20 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:Gods beautiful child.jpg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:Gods beautiful child.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.   Hello, I'm FenixFeather. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Kerala have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Proposed deletion of Haridwar Nagas

edit

The article Haridwar Nagas has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable sports team. Does not seem to be at high enough level to merit article (note that its league also does not have an article)

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Issuing level 1 warning about removing AfD template from articles before the discussion is complete. (Peachy 2.0 (alpha 8))

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Sumita Prabhakar. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it.—cyberbot ITalk to my owner:Offline 19:47, 12 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
