Extensible Authentication Protocol edit

I have undid your edit on Extensible Authentication Protocol for the second time now. Cisco's firmware for its devices qualifies the "client and server implementations of EAP-TLS in [blank] operating systems" statement. I disagree that if a Cisco OS qualifies, then "otherwise any switch or router OS qualifies" because other any other switch or router OS still needs to support EAP-TLS to qualify. If "any switch or router OS" does indeed support EAP-TLS, then it should be included in the "client and server implementations of EAP-TLS in [blank] operating systems" statement.

I think this is a pretty simple argument, and your concern may lie with the misunderstanding of what an operating system is. Cisco makes what they call the Cisco IOS, which is indeed an operating system, ie. it's EAP-TLS implementation does not run on Windows nor is it "free-running." Many of the Cisco IOS variants support EAP-TLS, as the article originally stated. Your edit is incorrect. Int21h (talk) 18:19, 15 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Nominations for deletion edit

I see that you've nominated a number of tech business stubs for deletion. Fight the good fight!

But, I also saw that you apparently did not leave an AfD template on the originating editor's article, or at least hadn't gotten around to it by the time I saw them. If you are following the stepwise ritual at Wikipedia:Guide to deletion, you will know this is encouraged.

I would also point out that stubs about businesses whose only claim to importance is being bought out probably qualify for speedy deletion undr WP:CSD#A7. I nominated all of the stubs that said only that this was a tech business bought by Cisco on such and such a date for speedy deletion myself, and notified the original author. AfD is a busy place, being bought out is not a minimal claim of encyclopedic notability, and for likely to be uyncontroversial deletions like these are likely to be, this is better. - Smerdis of Tlön - killing the human spirit since 2003! 16:41, 15 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Never mind about that bit. He saw them and deleted them from his talk page. - Smerdis of Tlön - killing the human spirit since 2003! 19:22, 15 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

HP Brio edit

Sorry, but CSD A7 doesn't apply to a range of products. It's for people related things like, well, people, and also companies, clubs and so on. It's also (for some odd reason) for web content like sites, blogs, etc - but not software. (It does cover articles about software companies, but not articles solely about the products.) More nominations for deletion edit

Can you please give us some reassurance that you've researched notability and considered alternatives to deletion before submitting your AfD's. --Kvng (talk) 17:02, 22 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Delete or merge because pages are not WP:NOTABLE, no significant coverage - add, references to significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject into this article. Significant coverage - References that are about the subject – at least one lengthy paragraph, preferably more. Not passing mentions, directory listings, not just any old thing that happens to have the name in it. Several of them – not just one. It must be notable. Reliable sources - Something that is generally trusted to tell the truth. A major newspaper, a factual, widely-published book, high-quality mainstream publications with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy. Not blogs, MySpace, Facebook, forum/Usenet posts, fansites, or Twitter. It must be verifiable. Independent - Nothing written by the subject, paid for by the subject, or affiliated with the subject. Not their website, and not a press-release. It must be independent.
This does not answer my request. I am already familiar with the policy. --Kvng (talk) 20:53, 23 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
No Significant coverage, from reliable independent sources found. LES 953 (talk) 04:53, 25 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the response. I'm afraid I'm not reassured. --Kvng (talk) 13:26, 26 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of DV6000z edit

Hello LES 953, I noticed your PROD tag on the article Dv6000z .In fact, I started this article when I was quite a newbie, and later lost interest in adding anything further. Now I realize this was a well known product, similar to Dv9000z or HP Pavilion dv9700t. The model was also subject to criticisms and recalls. If you think the page will add any value to en.wiki, I can cleanup the article and add more sources. But I wouldn't mind if you delete it either, I guess it is already mentioned here : HP_Pavilion_(computer) Sibi_antony (talk) 07:48, 23 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Templates added on Cisco Nexus Switches edit

Hi LES953, In April of this year you added some templates on the page of Cisco Nexus switches. I made some comments on that and would appreciate your opinion on these comments. Please check the Talk page of this article and comment if needed. I haven't checked/analysed the article yet: so I can't say if I (fully) agree with your comments - I would like to hear from you first before I go through the article again. If you want to contact me outside the talk-page use the email user feature. Thanks in advance, Tonkie (talk) 12:54, 28 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

A tag has been placed on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cisco Unity, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
