Arabian peninsula edit

Hi, I have removed your edits in that article because there were some problems there. Here is the section you added

Yemen-Arab Spring edit

[1]

The Arab-Spring which started in Tunisia, when a young men set himself in fire due to lack of rights and economic opportunity leaded to the raged of people in the street of Tunis calling for the authoritarian leader of Tunisia to step down. This fire spread all over the arab world from Libya,Egypt and Syria. The Arab spring reached Yemen on January ,2011.People of Yemen started demonstrating against the three decades of rule by President Ali Abdullah Saleh. The protest spread from Sana'a to Aden and all over the country.

[2]President Saleh announced he would not run for reelection on 2013 and he would not pass the presidency to his son.People of Yemen didn't believe him since he had previously promised not to rerun for office in 2006.President Saleh under pressure from demonstration made several economic concessions including reduction in income tax and increase of government employees salaries.

The mounting demonstration started to cause cracks in the ruling General People's Congress (GPC) and Saleh 's Sanhani clan.Saleh used the tactic of concession and violence to save his presidency.O[3]n March 18,Saleh loyalist in civilian clothes open fired on the peaceful protesters killing at least 50 people. This only eroded the support of Saleh. This action cause Yemeni diplomat ,minister ,parliament member to resign. Then on March 20th Major General Ali-Mohsen al-Ahmar joined the opposition side. He vow to use his troops to protect the protester.Which only lead to more defection of high level military officer to the side opposition.

During this time Gulf -Cooperation Councils attempted numerous time to mediate by handing over power from Saleh to the opposition and guaranteeing immunity for Saleh ,his family and his supporter. President Saleh accepted and refused numeros time to hand over the power. Saleh believed he could buy time to save his presidency. But the opposition which contain tribal clans, islamist, secessionist ,young people's,socialist and democrat for the time being working together to oust Saleh.

[4]In June 2011,Saleh survived assassination attempt on his life.He survived the bomb explosion ,but was badly injured. He was rush to Saudi Arabia where he received treatment.Upon returning to Yemen,Saleh finally accepted to the Gulf Cooperation Council brokered agreement on Nov 23.

Saleh signed agreement to transfer power to Vice=President Hadi.According to the internationally brokered agreement presidential election [5]was held ,where Hadi was the only candidate on February 2012.Saleh finally handover all his remaining power ot Hadi after he was sworn in as the new president of Yemen February 25.In accordance to the agreement by the Gulf Cooperation Council President Hadi launched national dialogue in March 2013 to discuss writing of the new constitution and political and social issues..President Hadi concluded the National Dialogue in January 2014 which dealt with transition process of constitutional referendum and national election.

Yemeni people achieved to oust the authoritarian leader Ali abdullah Saleh ,but the opposition which included tribal clans, islamist, socialist, democrats and the transitional government of President Hadi were unable to bring security in Yemen.Yemen today is engulfed in civil war between the houthi tribe who have taken over large area in western Yemen . The transitional government is unable to deal with the Houthi and secessionist and ISS -Alqaeda in the country. The fight between Sunni lead Saudi -UAE and the Houthi backed by Iran has only brought dead and destruction to Yemen. Yemen to day face dire humanitarian crisis millions of people are in the brink dying of starvation and young children are dying of diseases like cholera. It is the Yemeni people who are suffering due to the rivalry of two regional power.

Problems with that section edit

  1. You need to put the source after the paragraph or the sentence.
  2. Put one space between two words not two
  3. Please don't put too much details about this issue only. It needs to be summarised because that article is about the Arabian peninsula not Yemen-Arab spring.

Thank you for your contributions. Have a nice day.--SharabSalam (talk) 22:26, 15 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
