Deleting stuff edit

would you mind discussing before taking stuff right off the page --Rakov 23:22, 18 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

It has to be changed. It doesn't look good. In my opinion it should be put into the separate discography section, as it's not the most important thing. Screenshots and single covers should be in better quality. Just to let you know - there was no SonyBMG in 2001 and 2002. BMG and SonyBMG only distirbuted Nat's releases.

It does not have to be changed. I think that it does look good. The introductory page for a singer should have as much information about her music as possible in a well organized form. And I think the both pieces of information - singles and music video are essential part of the (more so with this singer's limited TV/film career). How can singles and music videos can NOT be the important information for a singer with just 3 albums? Further, addding this information in clean sections towards the end of the article does not interfere with rest of the article. This is not the comprehensive listing of all her music which discography is for. The video screen shots have been deliberately chosen at a lower resolution so as to conform to the wikipedia policy (please read up the policy on usage of video screen shots). That been said, if you plan to upload different screen shots, you are more than welcome to put them for consideration with your peers. As far as sonybmg thing is concerned, I was using information on the wikipage for singles. If you can provide published information for this, again you are more than welcome to change this info.

License tagging for Image:Jeimb.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Jeimb.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image copyright problem with Image:Nicdtdpromo.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Nicdtdpromo.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 22:16, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Duplicate images uploaded edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Imbruglianatalie.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Natalieimbrugliatd2.jpg. The copy called Image:Natalieimbrugliatd2.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 15:18, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Thatday2sc.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Thatday2sc.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 02:47, 21 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your edit to Siobhan Donaghy edit

Per Wikipedia's policies regarding fair use of non-free content, please do not replace a free image with a fair use image. --Muchness 21:47, 22 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image:Natalieimbrugliawiki.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Natalieimbrugliawiki.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Muchness 21:52, 22 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:So you say cover 1.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:So you say cover 1.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:17, 26 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed non-free use rationale for Image:Almost lover video.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading Image:Almost lover video.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 16:14, 15 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:Almost lover.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading File:Almost lover.JPG. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 17:15, 28 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:Nat want.png edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Nat want.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.
