User talk:Kslotte/Auto-archiving
Thanks for this useful subpage. edit
I see you set up autoarchiving on several pages I watch, and I'm glad you have this page of advice on autoarchiving. Keep up the good work. -- WeijiBaikeBianji (talk) 20:26, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Auto-archiving or auto archiving? edit
What is more correct in English? Auto-archiving or auto archiving? --Kslotte (talk) 13:56, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Exceptional case edit
I removed this, since it such a rare exception. The progress between article and talk page usually go hand in hand.
archives box edit
template:talk header can also be used for linking to archives etc.; I prefer to use it as it adds useful information for talk pages.--Oneiros (talk) 20:25, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
Manual archiving edit
It should be mentioned that the bots don't get threads without timestamps; these should either be archived manually or timestamps should be added with Template:Unsigned.--Oneiros (talk) 20:28, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
Other bots edit
The article currently only thinks of MiszaBot, but ClueBot III also exists.--Oneiros (talk) 20:31, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Notification box for sporadic discussions edit
... Future plans ... Add notification box with {{sporadic archiving notice}} ... this template doesn't exist yet (planning in progress).
This page is automatically archived by MiszaBot I. The 5 oldest sections will be archived, when the total amount of sections has reached 12. The archived sections have to be at least 180 days old.
Maybe similar box could be made for manual archiving. --Kslotte (talk) 20:50, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
Whether to bother archiving talk pages that aren't currently active and aren't very large edit
Hi Kslotte. I made a change to User:Kslotte/Auto-archiving#Inactive_discussions, but it's possible you won't agree. Feel free to edit further! Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 15:41, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
Projectspace this? edit
I think this is "ready for prime time". It's never going to be seen as anything other than one editor's random opinion if it remains in userspace. — SMcCandlish Talk⇒〈°⌊°〉 Contribs. 09:13, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
