Wikipedia:Votes_for_deletion/Nick_Koudis

edit

People are understandably worried about filling Wikipedia with vanity articles, but I think this case is an example where that concern is turned into a parody. Of course if I saw your name on the credits of a picture I'd expect to be able to find an article about you on Wikipedia, but this can be a difficult sell on Wikipedia. I think an article about you probably belongs here, but I think I'm in the minority.

We delete articles if there is a "consensus to delete"; this usually means that those wanting to delete outnumber the rest by 2 to 1. You're doing okay so far, but if you have won any major photography awards, produced work that is instantly recognisable, etc, now is the time to mention it. Absolutely anything you have done that is publicly verifiable and neutral (that is, indisputable). --Tony SidawayTalk 00:14, 6 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:NickKoudis1.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:NickKoudis1.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ricky81682 (talk) 22:20, 1 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Koudis! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 875 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Robin Nixon - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Proposed deletion of Robin Nixon

edit

The article Robin Nixon has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I'm not finding any reliable sources to back up anything in this article. As far as we know, this could be a hoax.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Gigs (talk) 17:00, 7 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
