Evaluation of the Fugu Article
This article talks about fugu, a type of Japanese pufferfish served as an delicacy in Japanese culture. It discusses how dangerous it is, how the fish is prepared, costs and regulations.Everything in this article is relevant to the article topic. The article does not stray off topic and maintains its focus on the topic of fugu. There was nothing in the article that was considered a distraction. The article did not seem to be biased, as it seemed to be in a neutral position. In addition, there are no viewpoints that are either overrepresented or underrepresented in this article. The citations in the article do work and the sources in the citation do support the claims represented. However, there seemed to be a lack of citations in certain sections of the article, such as when it talks about preparing the fugu and the effects of the poison. Each fact stated in the article was backed up by references. The information mostly came from scientific research articles on the fugu poison and news articles from online. The information listed in the article was not outdated. In the Talk page of the article, there were conversations regarding the true taste and toxicity of fugu. Some of the editor in the Talk page disagreed with what the article said about how toxic fugu was. Also, some of the editors who have tasted fugu had contrasting opinions of fugu from what the article said about it. The article is part of the Wikiproject Food and drink, Wikiproject Japan/food and drink, and the Wikiproject fishes. Wikipedia discusses this topic in a more neutral manner, whereas in a classroom setting, there might be some bias included in the discussions.
