Lend a hand?
editYou have watchlisted the Dragon Ball character lists, haven't you? TTN and I are attempting to get rid of the extremely minour characters (like at List of extraterrestrials in Dragon Ball) so we're gonna need some help trimming and/or reverting users who insist on keep WP:FANCRUFT. You in? Please reply below, Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 03:08, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
- Sure, why not? I'll start on it tommorrow though, because it's late where I live.--Koji†Dude (C) 03:50, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
- We're working on the extraterrestrials first. Can you help make sure the anons don't "rv"? Think I'm at my 3rr limit there. Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 17:20, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
- You've got 2 rv's there, but I've watchlisted it anyway. I'm glad to help out.--Koji†Dude (C) 19:19, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
- What the ... is up with User:Jtrainor? He vandalizes the alien list, then Hulk's, and is now suggesting that I am a vandal [1]. He even removed the appropriate warnings I gave him citing "WP:DTTR" [2]. Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 02:43, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- I don't know what he has against me. Don't think I'll be blocked for warring though, especially since WP:3RR#Unwanted edits says that reverting obvious blanking is OK. Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 02:51, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Finally...
editSo I finally responded to your comment on my RfB. If you could pop over and check it out, I'd appreciate it.
Also, please don't feel like you need to apologize; you have a valid argument, in my opinion, just one that I happen to disagree with. No harm in that, and as long as you're not saying "EVula is a jackass because he's a wikignome", I'm perfectly fine with it. :) EVula // talk // ☯ // 20:17, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I finally responded. :-) I wasn't saying you were a jackass, just that I've always seen Crats as "high and mighty". You're not high and mighty, you're just... cool. If that makes any sense. It doesn't. Anyway, as long as you don't suddenly decide to make a buisness drowning rabbits in Windex, it looks like your RfB is to pass. Well done! --Koji†Dude (C) 22:06, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

Please don't template the regulars - even yourself!
editWelcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, we remind you not to template the regulars. Making a personal, specific comment will probably make for a friendlier and more productive atmosphere than using a template that treats the editor as a clueless newbie. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please don't template yourself! ;> xenocidic ( talk ¿ listen ) 02:07, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

- Welcome to Wikipedia, Xenocidic. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, we remind you not to stalk other users. We acknowledge that KojiDude is very sexy, but we aren't allowed to make any exceptions to policy. We'd have to go through ArbCom, and you know how that is. Make it easier on yourself, and stalk somone in real life where it's harder to trace it back to you. Doing it on Wikipedia can and will get you blocked. Thank you.--Koji†Dude (C) 03:29, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
accusation
edithello. i am wondering why so many people were so quick to accuse me of "sockpuppetry". all i did was readd some info to a character profile...and remove from characters whom seem to be far less important. was that behavior which falls under the category of sockpuppetry? i actually feel a bit offended. 207.38.206.178 (talk) 04:20, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- Well, assuming you're not a sock, I think it was just a bit of paranoia. We've all dealt with a certain user that was overly possesive with the Zarbon article and frequently evaded blocks. I think it was just the fact that it was the Zarbon section you were focusing on recently that sparked the idea.--Koji†Dude (C) 04:24, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
oh. i'm sorry but i do like zarbon, amongst all the rest of the characters on the page. i removed the profiles of broly and bardock, but i like those characters too. i just thought that they were supposed to be inconsequential since that was a huge amount of chat revolving around that on the discussion page for the extraterastrials page. sorry for any confusion. 207.38.206.178 (talk) 04:27, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- That's alright, but it'd be better to explain yourself to User:Sesshomaru than me. You don't have to fear me, I'm too tired at the moment to take any sort of action.--Koji†Dude (C) 04:31, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
Unblock Help
editHello KojiDude. I explained my situation to TTN on his user page and he deleted the information with the comment that I should take it up in a different manner. I have posted the unblock request on my ip talk page for my user name and I am asking for your help. Initially, I didn't want to bring this up because I did not want to annoy administrators, but after two years of being banned, I feel that it has been a very long time. Please, if you can, please open an unblock request for my user name. 72.229.48.178 (talk) 04:11, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
Trimming
editThe 25KB was just guess and potential target. The information removed definitely needs to remain removed either way. It's all pretty crufty. It is definitely not the absolute limit or anything. TTN (talk) 01:05, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
- But there are practically no images on the page. Is it alright if the one zarbon image is left? The image is neither fancruft nor superfluous. It just adds to the overall appearance. In any case, I too agree with KojiDude that the page is heavily cutdown at this point. I guess what you can do furthermore is delete Muri or the Saibaimen, since they are close to inconsequential, but the rest of the characters on the page are rather major in comparison. On another note, I have posted the unblock request on my ip talk page, I'm hoping that you can help me. 72.229.48.178 (talk) 05:11, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
- I think Coola and Zarbon can have the images back. First, do they have their standard rationales? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 05:23, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
- If they don't, please update the images so they aren't under any violation. 72.229.48.178 (talk) 06:00, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

editSoxBot V has been taken offline indefinitely, therefore Statustop now uses a semi-manual updating method taking the status from Special:Mypage/Status. You can use the Qui monobook script written by TheDJ to update this page at the click of a button.
Certain parameters are no longer used, so you may wish to check the documentation of the Statustop template to ensure you are using it properly. - Thank you for your support
I would like to thank the community for placing their trust in me during my recent request for adminship, which passed 72 13 2 . Rest assured, I have read each comment thoroughly and will be addressing the various concerns raised as I step cautiously into my new role as janitor. In particular, I would like to thank Balloonman for putting so much time into reviewing my contributions and writing such a thoughtful nomination statement after knowing me for only a brief period of time (and for convincing me that I was ready to take up the mop now, rather than go through admin coaching).
To my fellow admins - please let me know right away if I ever take any mis-steps with my new tools. Should I make a mistake, and you reverse the action, I will not consider it to be wheel-warring (but please tell me so I can understand what I did wrong).
To everyone - please feel free to slap me around a bit if I ever lose sight of the core philosophy of Wikipedia as I understand it - the advancement of knowledge through the processes of mutual understanding and respect. As always, feel free to drop by my talk page if I can be of any assistance. =)
Sincerely,

zarbon edits
editI understand why you don't want to put in the "handsome," but I would like to point out that he never refers to himself as "handsome" either. That's why that sentence comes out incorrect. He never proclaims himself anything for that matter. However, in the dbz site and the dbz manga, he is referenced as "handsome, vain, and mysterious". any of these three words can be used to definitively describe him. But I know that he doesn't ever call himself handsome, so that sentence would be wrong. See what I mean? 72.229.48.178 (talk) 00:16, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
on another note, is it possible for you to help me out with this block. I'd really prefer to edit using my user name, i explained furthermore on my ip talk page. 72.229.48.178 (talk) 00:17, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- I understand what you mean about the handsome thing now, I'll re-word the sentence for clarity. Thanks for bringing that up. About the block, there's really nothing I can do for you at this point. You were indef'd, and rightly so. After Yalma's response to your unblock request, I think it's pretty clear that it will take some more time for you to clear your name. You're on the right track, though.--Koji†Dude (C) 00:21, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- I'm glad you fixed that bit on the profile. About my current status, I am going to try my best until my name is cleared. However, I'd like to point out that Yamla had turned me down after only six months of my initial complaint. He told me to go through the same process again recently. I don't think Yamla is against my being unblocked. But I don't think he can do anything about it either. The person who originally blocked me, Deskana, has never responded for a very long time. I don't know, is it necessary that I wait longer than two years...I mean I've shown that I don't want to create any other names and I want to listen to the advice of administrators as much as possible. I really wish there were something an administrator could do for me. It's as if my plea has fallen on deaf ears all this time. I don't want to bother you, but if you can help me, you have no idea how much I'd greatly appreciate it. 72.229.48.178 (talk) 00:49, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- I don't have admin tools, so I'm not able to make a decision on this myself. But, if you want a community opinion, you can take your case to WP:AN/I. It may take some time to get a reply though, because the backlog there is usually significant. (If you want to keep the issue more private, though, you could just try to catch Deskana on a day when he's active)--Koji†Dude (C) 00:55, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Regarding the power levels
editIronically, I was going to remove them from Vegeta, but they're actually sourced there. There was a discussion about this at WP:WPDB right? Please reply on your talk page, Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 02:59, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- I wouldn't know about WPDB. Back when I was around WP:DBZ was fairly new, I think it started just before I left actually, so I never really got involved (I was involved with the articles, but that was before the project). We removed all the Power Levels because of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Power level (Dragon Ball) which I was here for and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Power level (Dragon Ball) (second nomination) which I wasn't here for, and the fact that no-one had a source. If there's a source over at Vegeta I'd consider it worth keeping. We should check it out to see if we can source the others.--Koji†Dude (C) 03:08, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- Let me just say that I still question some of the Daizenshū stuff. How about you? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 03:16, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, I've never liked using it as a ref. I've never seen it, so I have no idea if it says half the crap it suposedly does.--Koji†Dude (C) 03:20, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- So did you take a gander at this yet? Now I don't mind mentioning the power levels in the infobox, like at Yamucha and Tenshinhan, though there shouldn't be a section on them. Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 03:35, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- You're right, a whole section is kind of over-doing it. Let's just find the last power level stated for him. Putting it in the infobox like at Yamucha is a good idea, sess. :-D I wasn't even aware of that.--Koji†Dude (C) 22:11, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- Shall I make the change or do you want to? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 22:13, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- Doesn't make a difference. If you want to do it right away, go ahead; just make sure you use the most recent one. I'll do it if you don't want to.--Koji†Dude (C) 22:15, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- Could I leave it in your hands? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 22:17, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

My RfA
editHello, KojiDude, and thank you for your recent participation in my RfA, which was closed per WP:NOTNOW after reaching a vote tally of 5/15/2. While I am disappointed in the outcome, I understand that it - as well as the comments left by yourself and others - was in the best interests of Wikipedia at this time. I plan to take everything that was written to heart and improve myself here on Wikipedia with a goal of perhaps accepting a nomination again in the future, should someone choose to nominate me. As a way of gathering further feedback, I have created a page in my user space for other editors to leave comments about things that they might have observed during my RfA and to continue my "education process," as it may be considered. If you would like to contribute to that page, it may be found here. Again, thank you for participating and I appreciate your comments! --InDeBiz1 (talk) 18:13, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you for the comment you left on my page. I appreciate your willingness to nominate me in the future and I will certainly keep the thought in mind. But, since I am transitioning to a new job early next month that will have me doing a morning show and serving as the Program Director of a radio station, I'm not 100% sure I'd have enough time available to dedicate to WP. But, we'll see how it ends up playing out, I guess :) Thanks! --InDeBiz1 (talk) 19:24, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

About your edits to WP:DBZ/FAQ
editIt's really the change to the section #Characters which I thought was awkward. What was wrong with the way it was before? Please reply below, Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 21:59, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- I thought the nowiki thing made it look weird. It was hard to read and seemed kind of pointless. And if I remember right, Chichi and Bulma were on there, but there wasn't really any change in their names so (since they didn't seem like good examples) I took them down. I think the nowiki format would work better if there was a new Q section; something along the lines of "How do I link to Dragon ball articles?". It was a good idea, but in the wrong place (IMO).--Koji†Dude (C) 22:04, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- Wasn't its purpose to list common links that should be avoided, as it did before? Inclusively it seems like you're promoting redirects (Shen Long, Yi Xing Long, Gyumao?) over pipe links. Thoughts? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 22:32, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- I thought it's purpose was to show:
- Names People Are Used To → Names We Use
- I just used the redirects to link the former because I'm lazy. :-( That's what redirects are for.--Koji†Dude (C) 22:36, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- How could we come to terms? I think the nowiki markup was better too. Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 22:42, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- I think the Examples would be better as examples of the names we use, not how to link them. A good compromise would be to have a new question in the FAQ that asks how to link to certain characters, and then we can use your nowiki links. Thoughts?--Koji†Dude (C) 00:00, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
- Hmm, could you show me an example of what you mean? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 04:30, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

(outdent) Sure. I was thinking, maybe something like this:
Linking
edit- Q: What's with these Character lists? Why don't my links go where I want them to?
- A: Some characters have their own articles, and some don't. Most characters are included in the List of Dragon Ball Characters, and need to have more specific links.
Examples
edit- Goku → Son Goku
- Shenron → Shen Long
- Omega Shenron → Yi Xing Long
- Chi-Chi → Chichi
- Trunks → Trunks
- Ox King → Gyumao
- Coola → Coola
That way we have one section to show the names we use, and another on how to link them. Whaddya think?--Koji†Dude (C) 15:00, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
- We could implement this change, but I still uncomfortable with leaving all of the other examples out. Regardless, would you do the honours for now? Then we can discuss the others further. Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 03:08, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, I'll add it in and you can add whoever you want. :-) --Koji†Dude (C) 03:10, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

Thought you should know
editFrom the way the discussion is going on WT:ANIME#"Adhering to naming conventions", looks like we'll be using the Funimation names for the Dragon Ball characters. If that happens, I don't think I'll be editing Dragon Ball pages anymore, in fact, I might even leave WP:DBZ. Guess WP:COMMONNAMES prevails, unfortunately. Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 01:50, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- Leave WP:DBZ? Why would you do that? You're one of the best editors the project has. It's just names. The way I see it, you did what you thought was best for Wikipedia. Lots of times decisions get turned down or re-formed. People who were at one point right, end up being wrong. But after a week or so, nobody really cares. The only scary part is changing all the links and names on every page of every DBZ article to reflect the change. I think I might just fake a Wiki-Break to get out of doing that tedious chore. :-/ --Koji†Dude (C) 02:03, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- I just don't approve of the inconsistent dub media. Although there is a consensus which I really don't agree with, can't fight it off alone can I? If the drastic renaming is made, it would be quite a mess. That's why I'm hoping User:A Link to the Past will fix evrything. Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 23:35, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- I don't approve of using the dub names either, but you're right. It's more or less useless to try and stop the consensus at this point. And now you're starting to get the idea; when people make a decision you don't like, make them do all the work. ;-) That way, if they're lazy bastards, it'll never happen. It's funny because it's true--Koji†Dude (C) 23:55, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

My RFB
editThank you for your comments in my RFB. Since it was only at 64%, it was a shoo-in to be unsuccessful, so I withdrew. I didn't want it to run until its scheduled close time because my intent in standing for RFB was to help the bureaucrats with their workload, not give them one more RfX to close. Through the course of my RFB, I received some very valuable feedback, some of it was contradictary, but other points were well agreed upon. I have ceased my admin coaching for now to give me time to revamp my method. I don't want to give up coaching completely, but I'm going to find a different angle from which to approach it. As for my RFA Standards, I am going to do some deep intraspection. I wrote those standards six months ago and I will slowly retool them. This will take some time for me to really dig down and express what I want in an admin candidate. If, after some serious time of deep thought, I don't find anything to change in them, I'll leave them the way they are. I'm not going to change them just because of some community disagreement as to what they should be. Will I stand for RFB again in the future? I don't know. Perhaps some time down the road, when my tenure as an administrator is greater than one year, if there is a pressing need for more active bureaucrats, maybe. If there no pressing need, then maybe not. Useight (talk) 03:12, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Aloha, KojiDude
editI was re-reading your oppose comment to my request, and I was wondering how I don't "seem to show good judgement", and how you came to that conclusion. I am not here to have you change your vote, but rather to possibly change my behavior/manner of editing. You can answer here, I'll keep an eye open. Mahalo. --Ali'i 15:45, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for being polite! I guess I should have said 'which' instead of 'and', because I came to the conclusion of bad judgment by reading the nomination statement (which I'd rather not debate about :-/). But, aside from just that, there was also your participation in an ArbCom case[4] that seemed to carry an insulting tone throughout. This seemed like a sort of strange response to a GA review (GA reviews are supposed to help the 'pedia and the process of making articles, so if you had objections they should have been made specific). Just little things[5] that irked me into having the impression. :-) Sorry for not being more specific initially.--Koji†Dude (C) 16:54, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- ʻAʻole pilikia (no worries). Heh... I don't mind you disagreeing with my nom... that's fine... I certainly don't want to argue that either. :-) And the arbitration case I'll concede to you. These other two things I don't understand though. The McCain edit: I guess I knew that the items listed were from a good article review, but didn't know where they came from (I completely overlooked the section above, as noted here & here), and simply asked where the critiques had come from. I then commented on the specifics. And the noticeboard talk edit? I don't see what is wrong with that. I just wanted to know if the archive bot "read" those templates and archived accordingly, or if they were just a way of letting actual people know that they were done.
- Well, anyway, thanks for the clarification. I'll strive to do better in the future. Although I'm slightly offended that you would seem shocked at me being polite. ;-) Mahalo, KojiDude. --Ali'i 18:07, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- Not shocked, grateful. :-) --Koji†Dude (C) 18:33, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
zarbon description
editoriginally, when I attributed the description of "handsome", you agreed with it in the context that I provided the source, the ACTUAL episode title. Was that not enough grounds for its description to exist...? That word does not push POV, that word is the only word used to describe the character in the manga and anime alike. And what, now you want me to pull out episode sources in order to convince you that zarbon didn't transform because he didn't want to detract from appearance. Please help me out here. Zarbon (talk) 02:26, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I do. I want you to pull out every damn source you can get your hands on. Reliable ones. I strongly advise that you not add any more to the article without sources, because the two of you are both one revert away from 3RR (assuming you didn't rv while I was writing this). If you show your sources on the talk page and get consensus, this will all be over, and without any block(s).--Koji†Dude (C) 02:30, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
- Also, when I agreed to the "handsome" statement, it read "described as handsome". You altered it to say "is handsome". There's a difference, and one you need to wrap your head around.--Koji†Dude (C) 02:32, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
Thank you
editThank you for participating in my RfA, which passed with a final count of 42 supporting, 2 opposing and 2 neutral. I would like to thank Keeper76 especially for the great nomination. I look forward to assist the project and its community as an administrator. Thanks again, Cenarium Talk 00:39, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

- Sweet! Always glad to make people chuckle. Incidently, it seems that I must've clicked on my user talk page at the exact nano-second that you saved this new section, making it disapear and stopping the orange message bar from coming up. I think that maybe the servers might have thought I was trying to run some kind of script to skip past the orange bar, and are now punishing me. I always wondered if it was possible for the damn thing to not come up.--Koji†Dude (C) 14:59, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
Hi, are you reviewing said article on its nomination as a GA? I am curious as the article's entry at WP:GAN does not show that it is under review or on hold. If you are, I have addressed the concern stated in the section. Update the entry at GAN as well to indicate to others the nomination is under review. If you are not reviewing the article, may I suggest changing the title of the section? It might confuse potential reviewers, and deter them from reviewing the article if they think someone else is doing so. Changing it to "Suggestions on getting GA" or such should do the trick. Thank you. Jappalang (talk) 06:54, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

editHey man, I left a response here. Thought you watchlisted the page, no? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 00:53, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry. I have watchlisted it. Didn't see it come up... I've been busy latley, so I only come over to the keyboard every now and then to refresh my watchlist. I must have missed it.--Koji†Dude (C) 00:59, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
