Disputed fair use rationale for Image:WeTheKings(album cover).jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:WeTheKings(album cover).jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 21:27, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Cd this heart attack.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Cd this heart attack.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 06:02, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:AlexlloydWAM.jpg}

Thank you for uploading Image:AlexlloydWAM.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Just a friendly request to watch your reversions...

Don't mean to sound blunt, but my edit was better than yours anyway. Sorry i did that though, didn't realise you just snuck in before me. kiac (talk) 14:09, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

"in accordance to template message, i am able to remove an unregistered user's deletion message". Could you point out where in the deletion message or in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion it says that? --Geniac (talk) 14:41, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

"Unregistered users placing this tag on an article cannot complete the deletion nomination and should leave detailed reasons for deletion on Talk:Michael Crafter. If the nomination is not completed and no message is left on the talkpage, this tag may be removed." So i did, it's located at the bottom of the template. [1] It was a rediculous nomination anyway, a badly written article does not warrant deletion, it warrants need for improvement. kiac (talk) 14:49, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
Wow, temporary blindness on my part, I guess. --Geniac (talk) 15:10, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
Lol. First time i've seen that message too, don't feel bad! kiac (talk) 15:13, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

Re:Anberlin

The Youtube source still fails to meet the criteria stated in the essay. If you read a bit futher, it says "Be careful not to link to material that is a copyright violation". As "jtalep" clearly does not own the rights to the video, the source constitutes as a copyright violation. If you still disagree, then we should continue this on the article talk page so that other editors can contribute to the discussion.--SilverOrion (talk) 09:35, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

Well for now, just use the indirect link. If they remove the link then we'll probably have to find the transcript of the interview.--SilverOrion (talk) 11:43, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

AC/DC

Thanks for reverting my error at Black Ice (album) - I was ahead of myself. If you could keep your edit summaries free of that kind of tone, addressing me like an idiot, that would be good. WP:AGF. Bretonbanquet (talk) 15:51, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

No probs, I went over the top a little - I was mostly mad at myself for not knowing what month it was.. duh.. Cheers. Bretonbanquet (talk) 16:09, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

Hey, you just reverted my recent edits in the AC/DC article, and identified them as vandalism. They are not vandalism and are contributing in all ways. The first one was removal of a non-studio album, because band/artists with a seperate discography page only list studio albums on their main article. The next one was restoring the original context for many months before two weeks ago, which is was legitament. However, it's not exactly the same as they didn't pioneer hard rock (or at least not originally), but just play it. I was trying to word it in that sense. But more importantly, the hard rock statement is supported by source #1 after that sentence and I stated that it would be just fine to word it better. Please restore them, as it looks fair and correct if you do it rather than myself. Thank you. 68.225.240.96 (talk) 03:15, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

merge

To ensure GFDL compliance, please indicate content mergers clearly in the edit history. For the same reason of attribution we keep afterwards the edit history under a redirect after a merge, as now for So Wrong, It's Right (Deluxe Edition).--Tikiwont (talk) 09:02, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
