Orphaned fair use image (Image:Memset logo.gif)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Memset logo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. That's ok. But you should perhaps create the main page first before entering in lists. This is the surest way of establishing whether the subject it notable enough for inclusion. Also, if you are creating a page about yourself you should read Wikipedia policy on this first. It's not forbidden, but care is needed. You should also declare your personal interest on the talk page, so it's all above board. And be sure to give good third-party notable cites in your article, otherwise it will probably be nominated for deletion. Happy editing! --Escape Orbit (Talk) 21:27, 9 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Just letting you know I think it's fantastic that you made a wiki page for yourself and it stayed up! You are not only notable but an inspiration to all trans people in the world of IT (such as myself). Captain Fishy - Purveyor of fine cod milkshakes since 1842 (talk) 01:18, 13 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Kate, I was shocked to see that you are no longer with us. My sincere condolences to all your family. You were an inspiration and a role model. And also a terribly accident-prone motor-racer and skier! I've updated your page as best I can. I've tried to leave the personal stuff out. Someone else can add that if they want. I know you'll never read it, but I'm sure someone else will, so your story will live on. Traditionally, I'd say Rest In Peace, but actually I hope you are still kicking up a storm.
