Proposed deletion of Kyle Fortch

edit

The article Kyle Fortch has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of any notability of what appears to be an autobiography. Fails WP:MUSIC with only one minor entry into an iTunes chart. No independent or reliable refs. Appears to be self promotion.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  Velella  Velella Talk   21:12, 31 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Kyle Fortch

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Kyle Fortch requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.   Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but it appears you have written or added to an article about yourself, at Kyle Fortch. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you.   Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

This is your only warning; if you make personal attacks on others again, as you did at User talk:Theroadislong, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 22:00, 31 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

The only one of you should be working with me, not team attacking me. You are all out of line. It's very pathetic that you are all attacking someone based off sources YOU don't think are credible.Get lives people. It's wikipedia not google, nobody cares about it

Editors of Wikipedia care passionately about the encyclopedia. I'm afraid that, like many others, you have a fundamental misunderstanding of what Wikipedia is about. It is an encyclopaedia, which summarises what independent sources have published about subjects. Each and every substantive fact in an article needs a reliable source, Facebook and Twitter are NOT reliable sources. Creating an article is one of the most difficult things to do on Wikipedia, creating one when you have a conflict of interest is doubly difficult, creating one without reliable sources is just impossible I'm afraid.   Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Kyle Fortch. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice.
