There is little information on the history of the line. The fights involving its operation and its construction are not in the article. Modern developments are not here, and the line's significance cannot be determined from reading the article. References need to be provided for the section on the Worth Street Line. A better description of the line should be written. A project is underway to install Communications Based Train-Control. The section between 59th Street and High Street will have the changes. New substations will be built at Canal Street and 34th Street to improve service. Construction will begin at 34th Street in October 2019 and at Canal Street in September 2019.
