Latin-German composer names

edit

Hi. Thanks for your edits/work on music scores. A very minor point but may I hope be helpful. In Latin or e.g. 17Cth German music score title pages, headings such as oblatus à Julio Johanne Weiland or von Julio Johanne Weiland etc. -o, -ne are grammatical case endings as German names follow Latin declension rules at this period. It isn't an alternative spelling, the nominative spelling in Latin is still Julius Johannes as the German, etc. Cheers, and all the best In ictu oculi (talk) 06:45, 9 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
