The RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
editThe RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar | ||
I'm awarding you this RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar for your great contributions to protecting and reverting attacks of vandalism on Wikipedia. Wikidudeman (talk) 02:03, 1 August 2007 (UTC) |
Rather then leave a note there and potentially embarrass myself, I was just wondering how you came to "I just don't feel comfortable with the age" - Do you actually know his age, or is it just an assumption based on his activity? Of course, you've no obligation to answer, I'm just curious :) Giggy UCP 23:52, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for that. I didn't see that mentioned, so I was just curious. Thanks for confirming :) Giggy UCP 01:58, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
Clearing AIV page
editHi there. I notice that you just cleared this page with no further action.
If you're not going to take appropriate action against vandals who have been properly reported on AIV, would you like to consider leaving this page in the charge of admins who will? Many thanks. --Stephen Burnett 07:41, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
That page did exist
editIt existed, you idiot!Thiswikisucks 05:42, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
- Do you see it? Keegantalk 05:43, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
Thanks Keegantalk for your initial support and let me explain a little further on your concerns. Regarding my use of the 3RR policy as an example of the WP:IAR. An issue can also be used in the case of repeated vandalism to an article. I have seen this policy threaten 3RR where a well intention editor reverting vandalism has been warned based on 3RR. This I think is a mistake! The WP:IAR should have been invoked. Now to the BKT situation, remember I am not an administrator, at least not at this point. And to be honest with you, I usually do not agree with blanking or removing context from an article unless it is blatant; language – racism – POV – attack or other inflammatory information, without coming to a consensus with the editors who are heavily involved with the article on a day to day bases. Either way you vote appreciate any and all input. Have a great day`. Shoessss | Chat 06:24, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
- Good morning or evening (depending on your location ) Keegantalk. I just wanted to take a moment and thank you for your comments on my Rfa application. I believe I now hold the record for the quickest closure! However, that does not negate the input and insight gained. Once again, thank you and have great day. The Song That Never Ends
editAre the lyrics to The Song That Never Ends copyright? -WarthogDemon 04:57, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Hey Keegantalk can you do me a favor and look at the Race and crime article. As you will note on the history page [2] this piece was considered for {Afd}. However, an individual believed a consensus was made to “Keep”. I am sorry, I feel this article is clearly a WP:POV involving original research. At its best, it is inflammatory and derogatory from its opening sentence to the list of [3] links. Thanks for any input on this matter. Shoessss | Chat 01:18, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
Woa, sorry
editI reverted a correction you made. Sorry about that Sljaxon 16:16, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

Re: Deletion log summary
editHi! Thanks for the reminder. I've been trying to avoid leaving any attack comments in the logs, but honestly hadn't really thought of the copyvio stuff. I'll develop a better, and consistent, summary format. Resolute 04:47, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

Wikimania in Atlanta
editI'm recruiting people with a nice template, but I'm leaving you a personalized message and would really appreciate your involvement in this bid. :) Template starts...now!
Hi! I noticed your involvement on U.S. South-related articles, categories and WikiProjects, and I wanted to let you know about a bid we're formulating to get next year's Wikimania held in Atlanta! If you would like to help, be sure to sign your name to the "In Atlanta" section of the Southeast team portion of the bid if you're in town, or to the "Outside Atlanta" section if you still want to help but don't live in the city or the suburbs. If you would like to contribute more, please write on my talk page, the talk page of the bid, or join us at the #wikimania-atlanta IRC chat on freenode.org. Have a great day!
P.S. While this is a template for maximum efficiency, I would appreciate a note on my talk page so I know you got the message, and what you think. This is time-sensitive, so your urgent cooperation is appreciated. :) Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 08:40, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- Hey, Keegan! I got your message on IRC. Last I checked the page, I didn't see you sign up. Just leaving you a reminder. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 03:18, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:I'm_her_man.jpg
editThanks for uploading or contributing to Image:I'm_her_man.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Alpta 20:33, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

deletion of Archmage (computer game)
editArchmage was a KEY webgame (back when the www was still 1.0) in its genre. Browser_game, especially: List_of_multiplayer_browser_games they show numerous of such games with entries. It was poor judgement to delete the entry (probably not you on your own - but your nick shows as the executioner) - especially considering that the original entry WAS modified to explain why it was a KEY webgame. Please consider to put it back up. Rennab 18:48, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
