Hello, Kdrutman, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Adam and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Article feedback

edit

An excellent start on your draft edits about Sônia Guajajara and the Dakota Access Pipeline Protests in your sandbox. I have some feedback for you regarding the article.

  • People should be referred to by their surname, not their first name, following the first mention of their full name.
  • The "early life" section appears to be more of a discussion of her entire career, so perhaps that material can be incorporated elsewhere or the section retitled.
  • Consider adding images to the article. The first place to check is Wikimedia Commons, where you can find millions of images that are searchable, categorized, and ready to use on Wikipedia immediately. If what you are looking for isn't there, you might be able to find a usable image elsewhere and add it to Wikimedia Commons yourself. The Finding images tutorial will show you how to get started.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Rob (Wiki Ed) (talk) 02:47, 17 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
