Academic journals

edit

Hi, I hope you won't let yourself get discouraged by the fact that the IJCSI may be deleted. We need more people interested in academic journals and your contributions are welcome. The IJCSI article is not too badly written at all and if they get into some major databases, there should be no problem in recreating the article later. Wikipedia can be a bit daunting for newbies, but don't let that get to you and persevere! If you need assistance, just post a message on my talk page and I'll try to help if I can. Happy editing! --Crusio (talk) 21:36, 1 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ok Crusio, I will get back to you when I will recreate the article later on. Anyway, until now, I have learn lots of things. Thanks. --Kav123 (talk), 1 November 2009 (UTC)

Your userfied page

edit

Your page is now at User:Kav123/International Journal of Computer Science Issues. You will see from the deletion debate that another editor expressed a concern that this was not an appropriate thing to do because, in his opinion, it would be some years before your journal achieved notability. You should be aware that even in userspace a page may be nominated for deletion (by a process called WP:Miscellany for deletion) if it is not considered to be serving a useful encyclopedic purpose, and to meet the other editor's concern I undertook to check in three months and nominate this page if there did not seem a reasonable prospect of it being ready for an article. You should also be aware that there is nothing to stop any other editor nominating it before then - Wikipedia has no central authority for this kind of thing. You would therefore be wise to keep a copy off-line: you can easily make one by clicking "Edit this page", then "select all" and "edit/copy", and pasting the result into a text file in Notepad or any word processor. Ok John, thanks for informing me about it. I will make the copy right away. Kav123 (talk), 2 November 2009 (UTC)

  • If you no longer require the userfied copy, it would help us if you would put {{db-userreq}} (two curly brackets each side) at the top - wiki-speak for "user requests deletion". That saves going through the MfD process. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 08:40, 2 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ok John no problem, I will put it. Kav123 talk
